I've had my SD500 for less than a year, but I'm trying to figure out what would compel me to sell it and get the SD1000.

So far I really like the fact the SD1000 is more compact and sleek, and the price is not too shabby either.

Suggestions?

I'd save your money, really not much a significantly different camera than the SD500. If you just want to spend money, buy something you don't have.

Cool... I wondered why they would release a new model that has nearly the same features as an SD550 O_o

 

I've got the SD700IS. The Image Stabiliztion works wonders in low-light situations.
