Default Sell or Keep 17-40L?

Getting a Canon 17-40 f/4L in a trade. I have a Tamron 17-50 f/2.8 and gotta decide on which one to keep. What say you?

I'm guessing that you won't be able to tell much of a difference between the two as far as sharpness goes so I'd stick with the faster Tamaron.

i rented a the L for a weekend, and i have to say it was a very nice lens. sure it's just a tad slower but it's not all that bad. and if you're an L ***** even better. that being said i opted for the sigma 17-70 instead. i say try it out first.

I've got a 30D on the way. I'll do a comparison and make a decision. If I decide to let the Tamron go, I'll let you know first.

I've heard great things about the tamron. but try both first... they're both similar in focal length but the tamron is faster and may be more useful to you.
