Default Official Tilt Shifting Thread?

I just remembered about a funky PS effect I've wanted to try out for a while, and finally remembered about it and tried it out...

Not really sure if it needs it own thread, but i'd rather seperate it from the all camera stuff haha.

I followed the tutorial here:

The effect basically makes real things look like miniature models.

its just an optical illusion caused by the narrow depth of field.

there are tilt shift lenses built specifically for this but it can be closely copied in photoshop.

That can make for some awesome pictures, I like the first one you posted.
I see them all the time when I watch adult swim, guess one of the employee's likes to show off their shots, some are very good.

wow youre right about the miniature effect. Thats really trippy and cool.

The pictures of the house and the train really looked like miniatures.
