Default NEWB!!!

no, this isn't the same picture as the one in my thread in the media share forum.

no, this thread isn't about rig shots (although i think it's one of my best to date!!!).

i'm a new to lifting skies from one pic and placing them in another. here is my first shot. it's choppy, especially around the trees/branches (glowing). i was too lazy to use a smaller brush for finer detail.

from those that KNOW how to do this well, any tips?

erwin? gr?? bubble? anyone?

i think it looks OK at a quick glance. any longer than that and it becomes very apparent that it was basically copied and pasted, LOL.

i just google "clouds," copy/paste into my picture, reduce the opacity, and erased away. i'm sure there are tutorials that can teach me the "right" way how to do it. i'll look into them later, lol.
