I submitted a photo I took of myself and my cars for an article about "American car owners"... and I made it in!

This morning it was front page online... but one of my friends is the only one with a print out of that. However, I was informed on CaliberForums that I was on the front page of the print edition! I ran out to about three 7-11s and a book store just to find a copy (apparently newspapers run thin around 1pm lol).

i'm psyched Even if it is just a small picture, it's not every day someone can say they were on the front page of a national paper!

Thats awesome that you got the front page like that, and on the website! But that Neon in BG is quite an eyesore. Shame you couldn't have moved it before the picture was taken!

 

The article was about owners and their cars. Its one of my cars... why would I move it?

i'm sorry I dont have a classy garage with a lift to work in. It's on those classy jackstands so I can um.. work on it. go figure! LoL

how is it an embarrassment? Other than the SRT/rt-10, It's the only ALWAYS manual transmission SRT. All the others are heavyweight automatics.

I paid $200 for it. I bought it to beat it up eventually. auto/rallyx. It's a rare colour and I like bright.. so why not for that price? It runs fine.




in conclusion... you guys are the biggest bunch of Negative Nancy's out of all the forums this was posted on. Even guys on 6speedonline have more respect than all the rude lil comments that were just posted. I don't get why you have to **** in my cheerios lol I mean.. if thats what floats your boat then so be it I guess

my best friend has a badass srt4 neon, and always points out just how amzing the caliber is... motor isnt too shabby, neither is the tranny, but the car is a juiced mini minivan. ugo

 

it's not criticism.. its just little boys that have nothing better to do but poke fun cause it's not their car on a national newspaper. I just like to poke back, problem?

it's a dodge Journey... that mated with... a neon... and god knows what else. SRTCaliber was the love child lol

nothing is more embarrassing than rolling up to an intersection and seeing a Caravan or Journey in the exact same colour.. and matching grill. lol

I have no idea what stepping stone it will lead to.. but I sure am putting this in my photography portfolio. I'm pretty sure that the photo is what made them use it in the first place, not me or the cars. So it could help in that degree.

his SRT6 is about to leave though and be replaced by a low-number Challenger SRT. I cant wait!
