Default Chase Field Baseball (Cards vs DBacks) Pics

It was a great game. The cards scored 2 in the ninth to tie it, and Eric Burns won it in the bottom of the 10th.

Shots with a 40D + Tokina 10-17 and the el cheapo Canon 55-250 IS... great results for all handheld shots coming from such a cheap lens.

Slight cropping on the hitting shots. Shots taken from the second deck and first deck, quite far back. 250mm is quite enough IMO. What was great about the 55-250 is it's small. Quite unassuming... you don't stick out like a sore thumb.

Nope, I'm about to put it up on eBay... unless you're interested, I can give a great price. What's good about the OLY is the 2x crop factor.

Really nice photos! Good to hear it was a good game. You should try to catch a few games at new busch stadium if you're ever in STL, really a great place to watch a game.

Nice shots. Gotta love that nifty two fifty! Curious, did you have to sneak the lenses in? Or are both lenses shorter than 3"?

Nope, dude at the gate saw all my gear at the gate. I actually had the Tokina 10-17 fisheye, which is a tiny lens, definitely smaller than 3 inches; along with the Tokina 11-16, which is around 3 inches long, but with really big filter thread size of 77mm, the diameter is huge; and the 55-250 which is about 4 inches long. Image Stablization was definitely the saving factor.

The rest of 'em... finally had the chance to process the RAWs, came back from vacation a Rock Band / Guitar Hero Crack head. Shouldn't have tried the games, as now it's all I do.
