Are the rims on the evo meant for tube tires?

That's a tactic used to confuse the popo from getting the correct tag#. V's & W's are also used such as VWWVWVWW or I's & 1's such as 1II1I11I or 0O00O0O or B88BB8B. Usually used by runners.

Hence my question a couple posts above. Usually it's because the wheels are meant for tires with tubes, which is what I was wondering.

I've heard this is implemented on some wheels for two reasons, in order:
  1. Getting accurate tire pressure reading while filling tires. The tire pressure sensors built into most air compressor adapters royally suck.
  2. If you are switching from air to nitrogen, you can release air in 1 valve stem and fill up nitrogen via the other. Obviously you will let nitrogen as well, but you won't have let your rim sit on the ground while doing it or have to take the tire off the wheel.

Pretty cool license plate "trick"...
