HELP with: Canon EOS Elan 7/EOS 33
My G/F loves taking pictures and got this camera(not digital =\) and it takes crappy pictures. Of course I know its not the camera, after reading tons of posts I realize she needs to get a better lens. Can somebody please tell me what kinda of lens I to buy so she can get QUALITY pictures? Also, if your familiar with the camera, can you also explain the best way to capture pics? She has read the manual and does her best with all the settings, and pics still come out just like any normal pos camera.. Hoping its just the lens!
Please HELP

Wow, several views and 0 replies. dude, in a nutshell the best way to capture pics is to keep taking them. She may want to get a book, take a class, or use the internet which is free. Youtube is can be pretty resourceful. It would have been IMO easier for her to learn with a digital camera, but I am guessing price is an issue. As for a better lens, 50mm F1.8 is is a great beginner lens for uber cheap. Hope this helps.

i suggest you to buy a DSLR, you can find a cheap old one for under $300 (maybe Digital Rebel/Rebel XT).
That way you don't waste time and money developing pictures, and you can see the end result pretty much on the spot.
The 50mm is a great beginner's lens. It also helps you composing the pic, making you walk around rather than just zooming in/out (makes you be more creative).
Just keep taking pictures. Practice, practice, practice (that's why i suggest going digital).
