Default Hello Mr. AlienBees B1600 =)

Thanks to member "ON" for picking this up for me (found it on Craigslist near him)!

The B1600 vs. the X1600

You can read a brief comparison on my blog @ PhotosByCalvin.com.

Can't wait for my Einstein 640 to come in!

I'm assuming you bought it because it was cheap? While I like the AB series, I'll take the WL anyday. X3200=)

Indeed. Like you, I'd take the WL over the AB any day. I got the B1600 for $280, including the carrying case. It was used 3 times. I just bought my WL less than 2 months ago, but now that the Einsteins are finally shipping I don't see any point in keeping the WL. I will be returning the WL for a full refund since the WL and Einstein are the exact same price. You can also bet that the X1600's resale value will significantly drop when Einsteins are more readily available (they're on back order now). AlienBees, on the other hand, will maintain their value as they are in a separate price range. I regularly see used B800s and B1600s sell for $270 and $330, respectively.

Since I'm returning the WL, I wanted to pick up this B1600 to play around with until I get the Einstein.
