Need opinion on monolights
I'm looking at getting into a studio light setup and have done a little research concerning what to get, etc. I am currently using (2) Nikon SB600 lights and need an upgrade.
I was wondering if this kit from adorama looks like a good kit for a beginner. I'm not looking to spend a lot of money and this kit comes with;
(2) 160 watt lights and (2) umbrella setup with stands and a carrying case.

What do you plan to use these for?
For indoor use I would recommend a single B400 for now because PCB offers a variety and probably better modifiers. So depending on what you wanna do, pick an appropriate modifier and also pick up a 13' light stand from PCB because it has one the widest footprints available, which is important for stability (especially with use of heavy modifiers).

Having owned both, I prefer the Calumet Genesis 200 and 400 over the Alien Bee B400/B800. This single 200w/s kit will serve your purpose well, is pretty cheap and will work with a Vagabond II if you decide to go mobile.
