Can anyone tell me with certainty if you need to hook up a O2 sensor feedback into the EFi in order for it to idle properly. I installed it in my Z and it's all wacky.
help!!!

 

Randy, I just called Jason for you and the answer to your question is No. He said you do not need to have O2 sensor feedback to idle properly. He simply said, "It just needs to be tuned". I would get you Z over Turbo Trix, and I'm sure they will get it running properly. You won't be dissapointed with it, once it's tuned.

I can atest to the capabilities of the ProEFI. I was with Jason at the track last night where he was testing some new features like launch control and such.

The Supra that they were testing had a previous best of 9.22@158 w/ nitrous (This was not with a ProEFI). On the first passs (Low boost No Nitrous), the car ran a 9.3 @151 w/ a 1.57 60ft. All they did was make a few changes with the laptop..... 5 minutes later they made another pass.... 8.97 @ 154 w/ a 1.38 60ft. NO NITROUS! That is the lowest MPH of an 8sec supra (6-speed of course) EVER!!!!!!

The capabilities are endless with this EMS. I would get it to Turbo Trix, and enjoy the benefits afterwards.

 

Id like to see more reviews of this ems..... 48 pin is cheaper than haltech/fcon and seems like itll get the job done.....

Are the supra guys running the 48 or 128 pin? Will "launch control and such" be available for the 48 pin that the Z uses?

 

yeah some launch control features will be available

i believe the supras are running both, but saads 8 sec supra is running the 128pin

 

Cool! I checked out the proefi thread on supraforums and couldnt find which one it was. Will the 128 be available for the Z? Could there be a trade in credit if I want to upgrade from the 48 to the 128? O and that thread on supraforums is worse than our entire FI section combined!

anyways 128 pin is very nice but the 48 pin is probably most of what you will ever be needing...

 

I've been waiting for this ems as well. I'm hoping for some good reviews and no bugs in it. Time will tell. They don't seem to be rushing this to the market until they are finished with there R&D.

 

Ya I guess if it can dial in a perfect tune to 906rwhp I think my measly 550rwhp will be just fine...

If you want a tuners point of view, call up John Reed at RRev and talk to him. Ive thought about doing that since he has touched every type of ems on the market. Hes hasnt really hit the Z market but he is very involved in the supra scene

You see how 1/2 way through the run, the picture zoom's on to Saad's Supra.... When I was filming the pass, I didn't realize Jason's camera had like SUPER ZOOM... I was like O ****!
