Default ProEFI End User Software

We should have a working version of the end user software by end of week!

Here are some captures of the interface. We are looking to the community for some feedback to go back to ProEFI. Are there things you would like to see specifically, etc..

On to some images

First one shows the gauge and feature/functions

Notice on the gauges, some have multiple needles. The red needle is current information, the yellow and blue needles indicate targets for that gauge.
- Example – O2 AFR – Red needle is current AFR, Yellow needle is target
- Example – RPM – Red needle is current position, Blue needle is idle target, Yellow needle is current rev limiter set point.
- Gauge face colors change from black to yellow to red (this is user selectable for warning limits.
- Inside the gauge’s LCD display will also give information regarding that channel. Example – RPM – Fault codes will cycle. Example – O2 –States whether you are in closed loop feedback or open loop, will also state percentage off of target…etc…
- Tab based browsing – no more going through sub menus to find what you are looking for.
- Logging will show live data traces as it is occurring. The loggers are pre-configured for the screen you are in to give you all the necessary information.

Nice job guys - looks slick. If it's not already adjustable, I would recommend making the table view more prominent or a bigger font since that's where most of the work is done and using the interface on a laptop in the car may be problematic (think sunlight glare!) - but maybe the dark background is not reproducing that well on my office screen here.

Are you reading trans temp through CAN via built in sensors or is that an aftermarket external sensor input?

Is the tuning in real time - you can adjust as you drive on a road tune?

Sweet.

Now how does the end-user (owner of the car--> not the tuner) utilize this software and how do we plug into the EFi to make any minor tweeks?

Is the software down-loadable or is it mailed to us by ProEFi on CD-ROM?

For example, what if I wanted to adjust boost control via solenoid by say... 2psi. Can that be done thru end-user control table software?

Ya thanks Jorge. I wonder how much 'play' they would allow the end-user? +/- 10% maybe on things like boost control?

Is there any way to access this software and display it in the car...perhaps on an external display screen maybe in the cubby or something? and control it thru the can gauge? That would be HOT!!!

i think can gauge will have the "fun" fuctions of the user software available to you...
if you have a car PC u could have the user-software display...however IMO if i were to make such changes i woudl carry my laptop and take my time... i think for what 97% of users will need, the can gauge should offer enough on the fly changes functionality, i am very excited about it....
Jason is delivering on everything hes said the proefi will be, and doubters need to recognize this....

Thanks Chris! Looks top notch.

I agree with Jorge. Like him, I plan on using the CAN gauge to adjust boost and read vitals. Once Jason tunes my car, I have no intentions of screwing around with the tune.

Raj, on the font type and color that will be either changed of better contrast colors willbe used. About size you can resize the gauge window by simply dragging the center bar up as high as you want. Go all the way up and the gauges disappear and the bottm maps fill the entire page

Also a couple of other things to mention from Larry:

-There will be 100% for sure Meth control!!! That is done already!!

-The can guage will definitely be able to control boost settings. Jason's #1 priority is this software with the can gauge being #2.

Hopefully Larry can get us a screen shot of the boost control tab today

Very nice!

SP- I'm up in Milwaukee and I would be interested in switching from my UTEC to this on my v-mount supercharged Z.

Pm me price if you can.

Thanks

apparently it's right around the corner..... which probably means it's right around the end of the freeway.

http://proefi.com/Software%20News.php

ProEFI's new End user software is now in testing! An initial consumer release is expected mid March! See your local authorized dealer for details.

figured some of the proefi folks (not many) might appreciate it. i personally am tired of all this waiting.
