Thom, did you know you didnt have any sort of knock control before/after running at 30psi?

760s on those 54s is prolly stringing them out and chances of pinging would be greater. Of course, nothing happened, but just curious if you knew?

That 128 is a great looking unit, but without a proficient tuner next to home, prolly not the best choice

1ZweetZ, can you please link to the specs for the Pro128 you keep talking about. Not a copy/paste from this forum, but from the actual ProEFI website that apparently billions have seen, yet I cannot find.

I didn't know the full knock control on the 48 at the time. I knew the 128 had it. I chose the 48 for the obd port functionality....was trying to pass emissions in IL at the time (now we have.....a way around that around here )

the turbos are actual 57's (I was wrong at first lol). The site shows them rated to 460 a piece, but I guess that is outdated. PTE says they are actual rated to like 510 a piece. So they have a little more left. No real need to push them any further though. Gonna finally due cams, so it'll due same power on less boost.

I'm trusting in Larry as a tuner. Afterall he was tuning Supra's with basically no knock control as well at much higher boost numbers and making much more power. Larry, Vince, Jerry have pretty much tuned most stuff out there so they know what they are doin.

And quite honestly we weren't pushin the tune at all....like i've stated before its almost sad how little timing there is in it lol.

Here's the link to their site btw on the 128

Tom

Note - Just for reference on my build...I told Larry/Chris what I wanted and they gave me their recommendations....only one I didn't listen to was cams lol...and now we are going back and doing that lol.....and they delivered a lot more than I expected (the goal was 600-650rwhp on high boost, it does about 600rwhp on pump at 17psi).

ahh, so the 128 doesnt have OBDII function? thats a killer right there

didnt even see that product sheet link to the right. insert foot into mouth. :P

What's low timing, under 15* at WOT? I probably shoulda went more aggro with my cams and done billet girdle and main caps. At least I'll something to ***** about as well

we've been hearing about cams and your car for years now LOL! you better go with the most aggro ones you can get to make up for all this talk.

Ha, cams was only last year....just never got around to it. Was kinda waiting for the clutch to let go and it lasted the whole season. But now its gotta be changed. So since we're doing one thing.....might as well do another right lol.

Haven't really decided on which cams fully yet. The BC stage 2's seem to be about perfect for most applications. So may just go with those. Gonna be on stock intake still so no need to have cams that will rev to 100000000rpm's.

On the timing...yes. If I remember correctly it was 14* max. (these motors are pretty damn impressive on how they react to timing).

Both the 48 and 128 have the OBDII-like function. Not sure where you heard that from Tom?? There is NOTHING that the 128 does not have.... in the ProEFI lineup.

Then I stand corrected.

Thanks Larry.

The BC2 are 256 degree, correct? Similar to the JWT S2... If you want high rpm power, I'd go with the BC3 or the JWT C8. Not sure what the driveability issues would be...

str8dum1, with the end user software, any tuner should be able to tune this thing... (if the end user software can access all the functionality of the 128).

BC's website has the stage 2's as 264s (and the stage 3s as 272).

Like I said haven't fully decided. And I'm assuming I'll need to do springs and shims as its doubtful the stock springs are strong enough.

I stand corrected. You've got good flowing turbos - hard to know which will "feel" best throughout the powerband...

I would guess that the JWT C2s would be like the BC stage 2. BC is 264* with 10.82mm lift and the C2 are 261* with 11.58mm lift.

good know you guys rev those things to 9000!
