Thumbs up GT Motorsports: Vortech S-Trim, FCon VPro, GTM Longblock, M/T Conversion *PICS!*

Another project car rolling out of our shop, wanted to share some pictures and information with the community as always

"The Ultimate Sleeper"

Specs on the car:
2004 Infiniti G35 Sedan

GTM Stage 1 Short Block
GTM Stage 1 Heads
JWT Cams
HKS FCon VPro Standalone Engine Management
HKS Knock Amp and Wideband Meter
HKS Fuel Pressure and EGT Feedback Compensation
HKS FCon Navigator
GTM Spec ECU Flash
Defi BF Series Gauges
5/16 Motordyne MRev Spacer kit
Vortech S-Trim Supercharger Kit w/ 2.87 Pulley
Vortech Jackshaft Pulley 34 teeth
Denso 740cc Injectors
CJM Stage 1 Return Fuel System
Modified Stillen TD Exhaust ( Larger piping )
GTM Custom intercooler
Aquamist W/M Injection System
GTM 6M/T Conversion (previously automatic)
StopTech 4 Wheel BBK 14"
Modified Cog Belt setup (Thanks sentry65)

**All dynographs reflect the use of 91 octane fuel!

Conservative 91 Octane tune @ 13PSI:

Our goal is to acheive 500whp on 91 octane, only problem we encounter is that we cannot get more than 13 PSI out of this pulley setup. We might be switching to the T-Trim OR figuring something different with the pulley setup. If we could have produced another 2 psi we would be at 500whp, no problem.

Now some pictures of this awsome car, Enjoy!

OEM Finish Can you beleive this car was automatic?

After a 5AT to 6MT conversion this light is displayed which can be easily coverd from the inside of the cluster if it becomes unwanted.

Thanks to our tuning and GTM ECU Flash there is no check engine light with our standalone setups!

Below you can see the extra pulley we added: ( Green )

looks nice!
aside from the extra idler pulley by the jackshaft that was also added to my car, TIMROD1011 is really the one who deserves credit for the belt setup

how much difference did the larger intercooler make to intake temps?

looks like the weather high that day was 85 degrees. The high was 60 degrees when my car was there being tuned
That's a 8.5:1 CR engine right?
I don't remember what headers or cats were on the car, but aren't the cats the stock cats?

Looks like you are correct on all those facts, everyone should take the following into consideration:

This is a 8.5:1 CR engine (less power than high compression)
This car is running on STOCK CATS!
It was a hot day when the car was dynoed'

With the larger intercooler the IAT's were an overall of 15 degrees celcius cooler with out the use of W/I!

Very nice! Put some Z Track wheels on that thing for a great addition to the sleeper look.

who puts that grill or Z wheels on a G which come with superior wheels than the Z's? Everything else looks wonderful. I love how the F-Con and the A/F reader are mounted. Really nice work!!

Nice intercooler setup! Very clean.

Question? I noticed that on the pics with the knock amp you have a value of 64 in one pic and 81 on the other pic? Isnt that supposed to be a value of 0? Not sue? just asking as I have never had a value there.

These numbers represent the cam to crank sensors referance ,they will always change as the rpm increses or decreses .if these numbers are not showing .then your knock amp is not wired corectly

p.s the 0 above the a/f reading is your knock value .

Awesome car!
Looks like the owner has $$ to afford just about any FI system on the market. What was the logic with going with a blower, as oppoed to a TT?
Just for my own curiosity...

15* C cooler than the IC which comes with the kit? (I don't know anything about VQ35 vortech kits, do they come with an IC?) How high were IATs over ambient, approximately.

i do not remember exact numbers. I will try to look through the logs if i saved them to see. From what i can remember, it was about 1-3 degrees above ambient.

What i do remember is that the new intercooler without wanter-methanol was about the same as the old intercooler with water-methanol injection.

fyi, it is a spearco intercooler core with endtanks built custom for this setup

Also notice that we made a conversion to the original stillen exhaust. we eliminated the x-pipe bottleneck and replaced it with two straight through 2.5" pipes.

Really nice and clean. Thats the exact same setup I hope to be running very soon. Could you guys possibly overlay a 2.87 graph of a regular SQ-Trim against that S-Trim? I just want to see the difference in power at the relative rpm levels.

Also, where did you guys get the extra green pulley and bolt? Part #'s? Does the bracket need to be removed for the install? And it looks like you guys reused the stock pipe for the new intercooler. Could you please PM me a price for the intercooler setup. Do you guys do in-house ECU flashes as well? Thanks.
