Very impressive, I like the paddle shifters. How much of a delay is there from the time you pull it to the time it shifts? Would love to see a WOT video...
I'll offer my observation since I have the paddle shifters on my car. The paddle shift kit froms Works Bell uses the same wiring harness to the tiptronic. It merely splices the harness so the electronic signal is simultaneously received from either the center console shifter or the paddles. Bottom line is that the shift will only be as fast as the normal shift in tiptronic mode. The quickness of the shift will depend more on line pressure which with a valve body upgrade will be much faster and firmer.
My question to GTM related to tracking this car. I recently tracked mine at Daytona Intl during ZCon. I did experience some overheating of the trans fluid which of course running at 16psi and in 93 degree weather was a major cause. My questions are:
1. what were the ambient temps at the track?
2. did you all monitor tran fluid temps?
3. how many lbs of boost during the runs?
4. have you done any other cooling mods or adjustments related to the trans fluid?
Thanks and great work.......always impressed with your builds.
Very nice build, good to see more Z's on the track... Great Job!
It is GREAT to see more Z's and G's out on the tracks........but there is a HUGE difference in "tracking the car" or "track tested" and just driving the car around the track.
Nice car and build, none the less though.
A+ on the blue gauge LED's (I want to do that with my blue Z)
