of course it matters what you are doing with the car. we slide a lot of cars and of course straight line street and strip. getting more into the grip racing here lately and might even build a strickly Time Attack car like we have been planning on for a while. we will see.
to answer your questions, those tires dont hook for me in a straight line with over 500 enough to even tell you if i like them or not. i hate the looks of them though and all i have driven on are under 255 widths.

The best dry traction tire is the BFG T/A KD... I always ran these when I had street tires on my car, all these tires do is stick 295/30/18.

my buddy harry was running these, long ago before he built his more. I think he was pushing high in the 450+ range. if im not mistaken he ran 285 or 295. but he wouldn't get full traction till top of 2nd going into 3rd.

and are the T1Rs reallt that bad of a tire.
If so Jeremy you need to contact my mom asap, and her bring you the Z, so you and AJ can burn up hers and make her get some better tires.
But right now i run KDW2 on the hatch, but i only have fronts so not sure about cornering, but straight line they are dam nice. I mean even at only 7psi i broke them loose in 2nd. But i guess that cause my car is only 2600lbs

Did you guys read this?
http://marktg.toyotires.com/file/TireStorage.pdf
Apparently these tires are prone to cracking at low temperatures. Something to be aware of.

Zilva, +50 FD wheels are not going to work on my rears. I'll need a crazy spacer.
Right now my 19inch volks are +28 in the back and they come close to the calipers.
I have a secret though.
