so SlowHuH should run low 12's with good driving.

Can't say I totally agree with you there. The Dynapack is the closest to pure WHP numbers as you can get. With most other dynos, you are going to get lower numbers just due to possible traction or friction loss to the rollers. Also, this dyno, like any other dyno, is not meant to try to corroborate another dyno since they measure the hp somewhat differently.

You guys are overlooking the grounding kit. I was thinking the same as you until I saw the grounding kit in his mods. Now I'm convinced.

what gear did they dyno in?

Just weird to see the hp and tq graphs dip like that. Mine is about as linear you can get.

i have no problem with people posting their numbers and being excited, just know when you are on a certain type of dyno, the numbers will be higher than normal. you would probably make around 360-370 on a dynojet.

congrats on the Vortech and have fun!!! there are a couple big dips in the graph though...
Nice explanation. Seems to be really high #'s with just few engine mods, I'll try to get dyno'd at church and see how it really compares to DJ at GTM.

Tell me about, I was shocked too . I have my boost gauge warning set for 11psi and it actually went off that time when I was redlining 4th. I usually average around 10 - 10.5 at redline in 4th gear (this is tracked by my Utec datalogs and boost gauge, they are pretty parallel in readings). Remember that I have a non revup so my pulley layout is different then yours . Also, Triji who has a similar setup to me is hitting about 9.4 psi with his redline at the stock 6600 rpms. I am revving my car to 7000-7100 which helps to build more boost up top

Yup, I hit 9.4 pretty regularly... Heck, I'll take a pic of it tomorrow... Gotta ignore my AFR's in the pic tho cause when I recall top peramiters my AFR's read 9.6 cause of the spike right as you let off of boost.

I hit 10psi on the stock pulley around 7000 rpms. Data logged with the SS box recently. Probably due in part to the colder weather in Socal.

sorry to bring up an old thread, but you guys do realize that the dyno sheet themselves say flywheel HP. So of course his HP is correct. Its not RWHP

...could have been a typo.

The high hp numbers are due to the grounding kit he has as someone already stated

wrong. they take off the wheel and hook up the machine directly to the hub, but it's still whp this prolly explain the higher numbers but its very accurate, in terms of measuring gains. It would've been nice if the op had a base dyno, at the same shop.

How does a normal consumer get true flywheel hp measured?

actually there is a type of dyno called a MAHA dyno that all the german car manufacturers use that can measure flywheel hp within 1 or 2 hp. It's kinda complicated how it does it. There's only about 5-6 of them in north america and pretty much is the most expensive dyno made selling for around $200k

^Thus, normal consumers will NOT have flywheel dynos. The End.

Even though the dyno says Flywheel, its actually whp. The print out for a dynapac always has "Flywheel" at the top. You have to look at the TCF (Transmission Correction Factor). If it's 1.0 then is whp, if its 1.15 then there is a 15% correction factor in there.

I'm assuming that you are referring to Dyno Comp? Damn, do they have money to spend or what! I guess thats what happens when you service ferrari's, lambo's, porsches, etc. lol
