You should come down here and try. There are some insane modded Cobras and boosted GT's running around that will eat a built Z alive, even a 600whp one. Most of them are spraying on top of boost too.

I know some that would give folks around here a newfound respect for what a little displacement can do.

There are few extremely fast Mustangs in our area Romey, one of which I'm pretty close to and believe me, you don't want anything they got.

They don't call the 2003-2004 Mustangs the 'Terminator' for no reason!

This daily driver car makes 700whp on pump gas, and close to 900whp w/spray - and a power band that spands 5000rpms... Now that's a bad mother phucker...

As much as I would never drive a Mustang, you do have to give some of them their due respect for being crazy fast

I give respect where respect is due. The majority of mustang/camaro owners around here are just wanna be's that think their car is fast.

The mod-motored mustangs aren't the ones that scare me. It's the windsors that you truly have to worry about. Unlike most of the forum members here, I like mustangs and have huge respect for the capabilites of the cars. A mustang is like a blank canvas just waiting for a talented painter to do its work. The Mustang's racing heritage is long and distinguished, whehter it is road racing, drag racing, or whatever racing!

Put a mustang on a road course. Then let's see. Good thing about the Z, all purpose.

The 05+ mustangs actually don't handle too bad. Go look at the past few years standings of SCCA/Grand Am cup races I think you'll be surprised.

But really, I'm not that big of a mustang fan myself. I just wont deny that they can be very formidable. Hell, the Z is pretty much Japan's version of a pony car...

+1 the 351 windsor motor likes N20. I guess I'm telling my age, but my first car in high school was a 69 Mach 1 with the 351 windsor. I had the 2nd fastest car in high school.

Sorry about my post...ok back OT

Well if that's the case, I guess it always comes back to the driver.

My beater is a 99 Cobra Vert with 122k miles. It dosent handle as well as the G, ride is not as refined. NA power/tq from the 32v V8 is much broader than the VQ. The V8 with long tube headers, x pipe and flows sounds much better than any Z/G Ive ever heard. Ive been driving my cobra a bunch since the G is under the knife for the next month or two and I much prefer the G. But the Cobra Vert does turn more heads.

Dude, of course I remember you, you didn't need to tell me who you were. That was such a kick *** weekend, what with all the driving and subsequent drinking; we definitely had a cool collection of people. We need to get that boat again for ZDayZ 08 for sure, and this time, we'll all be FI, except for Nathan, but by then, he may be FI too.

Negative on that as far as I'm concerned. We had a few ladies (significant other's of DanielW and imonlykidden) but other than that, it was just us menfolk. Why do you ask?

I wouldn't think of bringing a girl to ZDayZ, there's way to much testosterone up there, but in fairness, the girls we had on our houseboat were pretty fun.

I had a 73 with a 351C. Not sure about being the fastest, I doubt it. But no one really had a fast car at my HS unless they drove their parents cars.
