I never once called him irresponsible, I do not know him so I would never make that assumption. I'm just saying that any level of responsibililty does not make up for lack of driving experience which just on age alone 99.9% of 16 kids would not have. Maybe he falls into that.1%, like I said, I do not know him. I understadnt that this is a pointless debate though, so I will not continue with it.

I agree that because someone that age is typically an inexperienced driver, it is dangerous to put such a powerful car in their hands. I'm not saying this as a sleight towards the owner, but because I was that age before and, well, sometimes stupid things seemed like a great idea at the time.

That being said, even adults with much more driving experience can barely handle a car at these power levels. I'll admit that a few times on the street I've got mine sideways without being prepared and almost put it in a ditch. Luckily I've driven rwd long enough that I can react to it without much thought. But, unfortunately, most adults can't, and I've known multiple mature adults who have killed themselves in these cars.

Anyway, that's that. This debate really doesn't have any place in this thread as it's about the CAR so I'll shut up now. (everyone else should too)

the beauty of it is that he can turn the boost controller off and run on wastegate springs 4.5 psi and tame it down to 380whp...

My mistake I read your post wrong...I do agree about a majority of young drivers need more experience. As a Z community we can help Mike understand what his car is capable of and he seems like an intelligent young man who will listen to good advice from us more experienced guys. Lets try to help todays young car enthusiasts by giving them solid advice, not telling them they're going to wrap their car around a tree..

Awesome build guys. Jeremy I'll be giving you a call for my engine build verrry soon. Also don't guys rip this kid. Like a couple of other people sad just because he is 17 doesn't mean he's irresponsible. I got boosted when I was 18 and I have had great respect for my car and its power. I've put 30,000 miles on the car in the past 3 years running 430+hp on the stock block with no wrecks. So save the harsh words for this kid and let him enjoy it.

P.S. Jeremy, my father is itching to boost his 07 nismo to so you might be getting a call from him too lol

UPDATE on First post, we did a couple pulls at 10.5 psi now !!

495whp on 10.5 psi, stock motor!!!

these are big turbos so they spool up a little slower than say the greddys but they are good for a lot!!

we built this with intentions of building the motor here soon.

this takes the Z to new heights +70k car, and with the controller makes it sexy...4.5 to work.....10.5psi to run away from it...love it

Guys congrats and thank you for building an HR motor. Now i have something to look forward to. Cant believe thats 12 grand but its very tempting. Mike, good luck with the car and don't drive into a tree or a bus or something. And PLEASE get some nice wheels on your car.

impressive, amazing what a better intake and slightly higher CR will do

Dimension wise would the HR bottom end be a good replacement for the DE bottom end?

As for the IC would the one like SFR uses work? it seems it would clean up the tubing nicely.
