i think thats it per customers choice.... his goals were well achieved anyways....clutch is fine, but he has a tilton twin.

i'm sure his goal were well achieved. just sad that he's not willing to contribute more to collective VQ knowledge.

id hope the clutch is fine but he is the only one running that super high end dual carbon carbon. even Mike Erdens and Hal@IP are only using the ceramametallic. Would be nice to hear his experience.

other small details about driving a 700+ hp car would be neat like tire size, compound, gearing etc to let other really know what they are getting into ..... There are no other street driven cars with that much power out there right now. XKR has his, but thats a dyno queen right now

very soon means dyno queen or 2 yrs from now to me Its almost hilarious reading very old threads where people are still waiting for reviews years later. For example your Intense link says you still have a turbonetics. WTF

i just wanna know about streetability with a 700 +hp clutch

Too bad intense didnt wanna make up the 76 kit Hal showed a big single rocks at the track..

Almost possitive they run the triple carbon. The twin carbon is on its edges here.

OS giken triple is what id do, for the money. I drove one for about 30 mins on a supra, and its very streetable IMHO.

thats the big question. XKR doesnt drag, IP uses the 3500$ tilton and SP uses a custom RPS. YOu would hope any of those nice triples would be streetable, otherwise you'd just go with a 3 puck

I'd like to think that my Spec is a good company with reliable ratings, but puttin money in the piggy bank seems to be a normal routine

I thought the IP tilton was $5k? Atleast thats what I was told. Any of those clutches are going to hold 700rwhp for drag.

There are two different triple clutches offered by Tilton. The first is the triple ceramatallic. This is the clutch that Hal and Mike both use in their car. Hal has put a tremendous amount of street miles on his clutch and it still is in terrific shape. Unfortunately I haven't driven it yet, but have ridden in it for probably a good 200 mile trip and it was very streetable. Note: He started beating on the clutch immediately with little to no break in. Something Carbonetics says you need to put approximately 5k miles on before it will hold the power. We found the limits on the Carbonetics triple carbon at around 800rwhp with (I think) just over 3k miles.

The second Tilton triple is the more expensive carbon. We have one here that we are going to be testing out on a special car. This is the clutch that 100% of Supra owners run. I have not heard of one Supra owner running the previous clutch.

IMHO, as much as I would like to sell the Triple carbon, for 99% of the people here it isn't needed. You can get away with running the ceramatalic with no issues and save $2k.

I think the issue if fitting a 76S kit, i have 3.5" DP... the off the self powerlab kit has 3" and while it fits, quite a few customers have gone through a few headaches during DIY installs, so the compromise of piping size and making a DIY install kit is probably "maxed".
I did not choose to have a build thread that would sit there for months(many epic fail threas started like that like taurran or the many dream threads of jt and others), or commit to expectations parts i have used etc till i have something to show for, ie 99.9% done...(currently 96% so pretty close ).
