I bought his turbo 400 from him, it took along time to get to me but after I spoke to Coach it was shipped to me in Canada. They both assusred me that it was rebuilt and i perfect condition and JT said that it would take 1300 lbs of torque. Im hooking it up with my GTM 4.2 with 850 ttbb wolf turbos.
The only thing that he did not ship was the drive shaft. He told me that it would not fit on the shipping skid. He paid for the shipping and i was a happy customer till looked at the above threads.
How can you tell if the turbo 400 is in good shape before you run it. Im still waiting for the drive shaft but it looks very doutfrull that i will see it. If this is the only thing that i did not get from him, its not a big loss.
Of all the parts that i bought for my 370 and 350 this is the first transaction that went bad, GTM, Injected performance, DD motor sports, Eagleton (louie) Speed force racing, every deal was perfect. I need it for my GTM 4.2 turbo car.
JT. if you read this thread, ship me the drive shaft and i will pay for the shipping. I hope that Coach get well as he was a good guy to deal with,
I can not belive what i have read in the above threads about you. I was also going to ship you my car to tune next year.

The GM. turbo 400 tranney will require a custom built drive shaft to go between the tranney and the nissan differental.
The transmision will be used when i drag race the car only.

if the tranny is used drop the pan and see how much clutch material is on the bottom.while it's opened up take a big whiff.....if it smells funky/burnt it was overheated and you need to tear it down to assess clutches and hard parts.

short of a parts list that involves lots of aftermarket internals i would suspect your power capability is much lower than 1300 ftlbs.
