We need to put a shift light in Lar lol

We took her to the track last night for some maiden passes, just wanted to make sure it was going straight. Kept boost down on the first couple runs, and then turned it up to about 25psi.

I wanted to make sure we didn't break anything first couple passes so I babied it out of the hole.

1st pass:
11.8@132mph 2.2 60ft

2nd pass:
11.6@139mph 2.1 60ft

3rd pass:
11.8@140 2.2 60ft (getting cold and slippery out)

We did try to launch the car on a 4th pass, but it spun pretty bad due to the cold track, however it was DEFINITELY going faster than 145 lol, I hit the rev limiter going through the trap in 4th hard limiter is set at 8600 right now.

I'm going to try and take it to the track again in a week or so.

All I can say is the car goes straight as an arrow, and is a FREAKIN blast to drive!!! 3rd and 4th gear in this car are INSANE!

Here are some vids of the passes, and a pretty sweet in car view at the end

Good start Chirs. That's exactly what Jason said after the first time out in our G -- needs a shift light, and daumnn it goes straight!

Darren(waiting to see those 60ft's in the low 1.5s)

I love that in car shot. Thats how the tach on Adam's car was before we upgraded to the 07-up cluster. You are basically guessing where to shift after it hits 8K rpm.

Very, very nice... I'm envious of you guys getting to drive that beast...

11.8 at 140 miles per hour is just sick... Spectacular mile an hour...

Smart for starting out carefully...

Thanks for all the nice comments!!

Chris was definately scared of breaking an axle.... as we have heard that they are pretty weak!! That last pass that he made at 25 psi was trapping over 145!!

We need to get a 28" slick on it so we can trap over 150 without hitting the revlimiter in 4th. I had the rev limiter set at 8700 last night.

Once we get a slick on it and some good axles, we can try the 2 step / antilag to launch it..... and then turn it up to 40 psi

I think one of the key things to not breaking an axle is preloading the drivetrain before you launch. Its kind of a hit or miss thing. Some people dont have problems and some due.

You could just swap for the auto 3.3 rearend and keep the 26" tires.

whatever , well.... maybe a bit. I can't wait to take this car into the 150's, but we need to finish the chute mount or

also, we developed a rear brace for the diff that we're going to start selling. i'll have a price next week for it. Since the rear is only held in by one measly bolt, this is a sure fix if you plan on launching the car and not leaving the diff at the line

Here is the prototype, tell me if you want it powdercoated in red or black

SP....have you tried that diff brace with a full exhaust? Here's a pic of my old exhaust(Injen) and my current exhaust is the Greddy evott which is fairly similar around the diff area.

Do you happen to have more of a side view? We can see how far the mufflers are from the face of the diff.

great trap numbers... the speedo is flying... you think you can get a shot of the speedometer? that would be pretty sick to see the speed needle from a close angle
