Ivory - you can swap in the cluster from an 07 + Z too (goes to 9k) - should plug right into a G I'd imagine. I have it in mine for that very reason

Thanks in advance
It'd be a mildly driven car, perhaps not daily, it depends. But I intend to enter it into shows once everything is settled.

Compression I believe is 11.5:1 but Hal would know, he's driving right now, so he'll answer all the specifics when he gets back tomorrow.

I'd be interested in hearing how this turns out too.

I've considered a G37 dash for the same reason, but I understand that it will not work. I never thought about putting a 350z dash in a G35 Coupe. Good idea, Adam.

EDIT: wonder if the Haltech reports true RPMs or reports what the stock tach shows... Hal?
Haltech shows exact engine RPM, and the tach shows a slightly inflated engine speed. Same goes for the speedometer verse wheel speed inputs. I don't remember the acceptable ranges from memory, they are in the FSM though. I don't think the tach should be quite as bad as you describe (6600 indicated vs 7000 actual), but this could get into where you are getting engine speed on the dyno.

I'll have to pull the purchase order for the custom pistons, but somewhere between 11 - 11.5:1. It is the 86.4mm stroke.

Yeah the power is immense is all I can say right now...wish I could be driving it around but need to do other work to it asap.

The exhaust is crawford headers, berk HFC, nismo Y pipe, titanium mid-pipe and nismo exhaust.

Not sure of the exact specs on the throttles. I could measure it I suppose.

sick build....... Do you think it will run high 12s all day??? Never mind getting in on a dynojet. Get that thing to a track. Trap speeds say it all. I hate how people are so dyno happy on every forum. People dont understand that the dyno is strictly a tool for tuning. Its to easy for the dyno operator to add a correction factor in to net you 20whp. not saying that was done here though so dont get the wrong idea.

To the OP..... where abouts in NY are you? you near westchester county?

Rochester, NY. Pretty far from Westchester I think. I MIGHT take it to the track just before the end of the racing season. Though I feel I should at least break it in...

Hold on now this kit is for the vq engine it is not made for one car ie the 350z or the g35 this kit was made for race cars that do not have the hood problems. Due to all the fuss Jenvey is doing a kit to fit the 350z that will be at the PRI in Orlando. The kit that Hal use is just a phone call away and was out at the last PRI show .
Ok i have a fix for this if any one needs to get this kit call HAL OR NEAL on this kit .
Hal and neal call me so i can set you up with the right price on this set up with or with out the air box
PS
the two jokers that called me today trying to be smart Hal did a bang up job doing this car with this ITB set to show you it works and give you all the info on the build
HAL DID NOT DO THE KIT FIRST AND HE WAS NOT OUR TEST DUMMY he step to the plate and did a good job with what was out there .
There is away some one that will f--k up a good thing

I translated the text below:

The ITB kit installed on this G35 was only intended for use on race cars. As a result, the problems Hal ran into installing them on a street car are not applicable to the application the ITB kit was intended for i.e. a race car.

After all the hype and what not, Jenvey, the ITB manufacture, has decided to build a kit specifically for use on a street 350z or G35. The kit will be on display at PRI this year.

Hal used the regular race kit on this build, not the fore mentioned street kit. If you would like a race kit, call Hal or Neal. Hal and Neal need to call me so I can give them the correct price for the race kit. The kit comes with and without an air box.

Hal did a great job with the install. He is not the first to do the install. However, he is the first to show it off on a public forum.

Hope this helps everyone
