Forged Performance: Back from the dead with a complete motor and turbo rebuild....
As some of you know I had a little incident about this time last year with my stock block Greddy Twin Turbo '03 350z. Less than 2 hours after having a new boost controller (improperly) installed by a local shop in Dallas, my motor exploded when I went into boost sending shrapnel through both sides of my block, the heads, manifolds, turbos and downpipes, yes it was a complete loss.
So I made quite a few calls to multiple shops, local and across the country asked alot of questions and finally decided to give the job to none other than Forged Performance and shipped the car out to them in early March. I had hoped to get the car back before ZdayZ '09 but as with any big build project there were setbacks here and there plus I kept adding things along the way (because us OCD'ers like to do that sort of thing) but finally I flew out to ATL in September and drove her back home.
Despite the fact that it's been raining cats and dogs here in Texas I have had enough time in the car to say that I am very pleased with the way it runs. The car is a blast to drive just on wastegate boost (which is a little over 10.5 psi). At 15psi the thing is a rocket and it is difficult to find traction in the first 3 gears, even with 295 Yokohama AD08's. I also have as race gas fuel map and a high boost setting of 18psi and it makes hitting full boost an "oops I crapped my pants" moment every time. I guess the easiest way to sum it up is just to say "I like it alot!"
Here is the basic build sheet plus some before and after pics and dyno graphs.

Here is is my dyno from the original build it went Kaboom.
Sharif had to dyno the car on a Dynojet because of wheel spin secondary to my crappy Toyo Proxes 4 tires (the tire issue has since been addressed).
Here are the graphs from the dyno pulls I had done a few weeks ago. the last one is with a DynoJet correction, jsut to make me feel better about myself!
10.5psi 93 octane
15psi 93 octane
18psi VP Racing C16
18psi with DJ correction

Now for the before and after pics, some of you guys have already seen many of the pictures in other threads but i thought I would compile them into this thread for continuity so here we go!
And here is here is the poorly installed Turbosmart E-boost2 that made my car crap the bed...
Now for some pics during the install.
My original VQ35de... RIP
And so the journey begins...

nice!
I compiled some comparisons as well. Lil shocked that you only pulled 536 on full blown race gas.
Mid vs high boost
Here's a comparison between your 18g's and Jay's 20g's both at 15psi
and your high boost vs 20g 15psi
also compared to Cass007 APS kit with 3071's. Almost 100 ft-lbs of more trq under 4500 rpms!
and for fun, Hals 9.xx second gt42 kit vs the 18g's at 18psi. This will prolly be the powerband of Mike's car vs the others at ZdayZ Big Dawg!

Thanks. BTW I posted on your on Shop rating thread
Thanks rrmedicx and bigcloud, I am enjoying the car immensely!
I was surprised as well, I had hoped to make somewhere north of 600rwhp on a DD but for right now I am more than satisified with the power of the car.
BTW, cool graphs!
Thanks and yes I can listen to cd's or the ipod with the Camp2 display on.
Thank you kind sir and good luck selling your car.
I appreciate it! I was glad to see you that you fixed all your Procharger issues with a set of 20g's!

Thanks for putting your faith in us, Mark. Once you are part of the Forged family, you never leave...nor will we allow you to even if you wanted out.
Glad you are enjoying the car. Even on the lowest boost setting it's just a monster!
I thought I would share a few more pics, including this one of the original bad engine. I am no expert, but I think something isn't quite right here:
