IMO thom needs to have the EMS controll boost...

I though this was pretty amazing comment:
This clutch is lighter/smoother than old..and we are still talking aobut a 6-puck clutch... time will tell how much this one last, but thats awomse to hear! in case i refer to check this thom...what was the price on it btw.

BAD *** SETUP! (no 128 on upgrade list? have it controll bost)

Toms old clutch was a full face feramic holding well over its rated TQ, The new one is a 6 puck ceramic and a modified race engineered pressure plate.

This new puck design drives pretty good for a puck as the pucks are a bit bigger giving them more surface area, The DXD flywheel will help with the street friendlyness also. His may be a bit more grabby than the normal stage 4 ceramic kit because of the clamp load needed to hold this huge new found power
The 6 puck should shift much better as the disk probably weighs less than half of what his old set-up did.

Joe at CustomPartz (post above you has them in this link):

http://www.zspeedperformance.com/200...VQ35DE_c36.htm

Stage 5 full face (690 Tq...this is my old one): $600

Stage 4-b 6-puck (725tq): $600

Stage 5 6 puck (850tq): $650

They go down about $50 for each level of less power.

I believe mine is the stage 5 6puck....its called like the stage 5 Extreeme!!!!!
Joe fill us in on what I got lol..

Tom, You have basically the stage 4 Ceramic with a lot of clamp load, The reason you have this is ceramic is very hard to make "not work" in other words it will work when abused, beat on ect. and is very "idiot proof" (not that your an idiot)

The Stage 5 Feramic kit will hold a lot of TQ also but is not as "idiot proof" as the ceramic material. I love the Feramic kits but they are not for drag racing. The are killer for street and track use though.

We can put A LOT of clamp load with or "extreme" pressure plate and still retain a somewhat decent pedal feel, From what you tell me its not that bad at all?
The Extreme kits normally cost a bit more also and are built for purpose.

sorry to hijack thom =)

i'm currently running a jwt clutch/flywheel...but may be looking to upgrade the clutch come august as i'm attempting to acquire more power. what clutchs of yours would you recomend to someone with ~550 ftlbs of tq at the wheels (DXD OFE Stg4)? i presume the ratings on your site are at the flywheel? also, could i run one of your clutches with the jwt flywheel without any issues?

But the few chances i've gotten......New M3, and C5 Z06 had no chance on pump gas.....talking 10 car lengths (just 4th gear for the M3, 3rd and 4th for the vette)

someone donate some bias plys my way and i might have a chance.....depending my personal skills. I'm not near as good with a car clutch as i am a bike. I do under 9 on the built r1 all motor. Haven't been able to properly get the 75 shot of nitrous working. It scares me.

Let me know what you do to help with crankcase pressure as I may copy the idea if you come up with something better than what I'm running. I have your basic catch can with 1 check valve between the can and plenum to prevent from boosting the can. But unfortunately, my set up is still pressurizing the can and a little oil seeps out. So far I had to empty it twice after only a couple of months of regular use.
Looking for an alternate solution. Maybe venting the can to minimize pressure build up in can.

At Chi2k10 (supra event), I made 801rwhp @ 26.4psi

30more rwhp on 4psi less boost than before...not too shabby
