There are 2 track that will basically let you run anything at any ET/mph lol. Reid@SP went this weekend and ran 10.67@137 in his supra with just long pants, a tshirt, and seatbelt, they didn't blink an eye.
My G is 3655lbs...ugh

Will your local track let you continue to run without a cage into the 10s? Pretty sure we get booted after 1 pass.

Byron Dragway, and US 41 allow....pretty much anything...

Great Lakes Dragway has really cracked down in the last few years, and RT66 doesn't let anything slip by.

is that kentland/morocco strip you are talking about?

The rundown seems like forever on that track. I watched a few nationals races there and also did a couple stuntshows there on the bike.

3655 w/me and no fuel....so based on that time I'd say
3455 w/o me and no fuel.
Next time I'm near scales I'll weigh it.

i think Hal's was about 3200 as well. The Gs are 2-250 lbs heavier, so that right there costs us about 0.2s.

we could loose 50lbs on the driveline by having someone make us a nice carbon driveshaft like the z's.

ah, aluminum would be nice.

Ours weighs quite a bit between the 2 halves. Maybe not 50lbs but it's heavy enough that it gets tiring trying to hold it with 1 hand while putting bolts in.

Def seat time, the damn track keeps kicking me out after 1 pass, so I only have had a handful of passes this year.

I have no plans to put a cage in either so it looks like im f-ed

amen, is it our clutches that does it to us? i've had this car for 4 years and still can't launch it half as good as a camaro.

I think its a combo of the clutch, engine/tq delivery, traction, etc (well of course it is right).....but Also I think its the drive by wire!

I know SP was having a hard time getting 100% throttle on the first 9 sec passes due to the factory ECU cutting throttle after a burnout.....so with my little advice of "hey restart the car after the burnout".....BAM 100% throttle on next pass (and a 9.8 I believe). (I learned this one from bwicked).

It seems that the facotry ECU (regardless of what aftermarket computer you are controlling rest with), will intervene at the most in oportune times. The VDC will cut throttle from 100% after it is called for use, and it takes like 4 or 5 full throttles to get 100% back.

So maybe try that, after your burnout, turn the car off and on again. Or look at a whole new speed sensor setup (ugh). Or to start, log your throttle position (both pedal and TB for the entire pass).

Ive actually had times where the speedometer stops working after the burnout until I restart the car.
