Hey guys i'm a noob to this forum and this is my first post. Nice forum u have here.... I've been posting on www.dtmpower.net for the last 3 years. I currently have a modified bmw 328i which i'm selling to get my 350z I was just wondering what problems, if any, you guys have experienced with your 350z. I know its a new car so there may be some bugs here and there....i'm very anxious to get my hands on one. Hopefully i sell my car soon

Oh and here are some pics, from hotimport nights, of my current car

nice lookin car.

problems exist, as they do in all cars, they are minor, grease streaks on the window(TSB for it, havent personally had it done), in touring model there was a problem with the sound system, its since been repaired, tho some just dont care for the quality of it, its fine by me.

and there have been reports of feathering, possibly due to alignment. but as of recent, I actually havent heard many reports of this. so I dont know what to think there.

thats the stuff that you would probably want to consider, I ve seen maybe 5 cases of bad transmissions, but with over 300 Zs on this site, I dont think Id call that a problem, but others might.

Ok thanks....after i posted this i read some threads that mentioned the problems u listed, but it seems like the newer z's haven't been to bad. Well i guess i'm not going to buy one of the z's at the dealer with 1500 miles on it Seems like the smart thing to do is to buy new or just wait till the 2004's come out..

check the vins, I mean then again, Im early, and no big problems.

but if the vin is after 5000, it should be all set. right now I think their up to 12-15000 or something in there.

I have 4 huge problems with my Z:

1) Can't find enough free time to drive it.
2) Once driving, don't want to stop.
3) Often notice I'm driving at twice the posted speed limit.
4) Can't find enough twisty roads.

Must...drive...the...Z!

eeze,

I seem to have the SAME problems and more...

5.) I go take my lunch hour and simply drive. I never have time to stop and eat..

6.) I leave for work earily, I get to work earily, then drive aggressively around the LARGE parking lot we have...

7.) I always am trying to find ways to go out and pick up lunch for others. (too bad I never have enough room for some of the lunch orders)

My Z has performed flawlessly. Have had it for 8 months and no problems. I do have the streak on the window but is no biggy and the streak is getting less over time. It is really a great car and I cannot go anywhere without people staring or coming over to see it.

It looks like they have buttons...? I thought all Z keys came with remotes (keyfob, I think is the proper term).

That Nissan steering wheel keychain is great. Do we all get those or is that just for Aussies?

Oh, sorry, they aren't my keys. I searched the board for a picture to post here and found that. (Here is the thread)

FYI: No, we get the exact same thing as you guys (except our keyfobs don't have the rear hatch button... *Why is that?*).

TooGrand... The keys have no buttons on them, only a Nissan Logo in the center. (that's what looks like a button from the distance)

I can make out the Nissan logo on the bottom key, but the key on top looks like it has two small buttons in line with the stem of the key.
