(Probably more of an ******* than last time because I think my dumbass used locktite on it) my car only has 78k miles on it, no check engine light wouldn't have known anything was wrong if I didnt go messing with maintenance BS haha o well...
$10 rtv and $21 gaskets or $400 for new covers and gaskets, decisions decisions....

It's my understanding that you don't need new coils though. So just a plenum gasket and plugs??? Assuming there are any issues such as the case with dboyzalter's.
The plenum gasket is like a thin metal piece that seems like it would never need replacing... It mostly becomes a pain in the *** when you install the V2 plenum from kinetix.

I know the vc gaskets are plastic but do they actually "wear out" to the point of needing replacement?
And i think I want to eventually get a plenum spacer or a larger plenum. So I guess I'd rather do it all at once. Big $$$. Lol
Their is a tube section in the valve cover that goes around where the spark plugs are, the gasket for these tubes is what fails and is not available for replacement... Thus why you need to replace the valve covers with new factory ones at a tune of $380 or clean them up and try to seal it with high heat rtv silicone and hope for the best...
You can get some awesome valve covers for a small block chevy for like half the price and they wont even be plastic haha
Also im pretty sure the rev up needs a lower plenum upgrade also for gains with the spacer. Maybe ill kist rip the whole car apart and see what I end up with...
All those wires around the engine sure are ugly, as is my corroded aluminum timing chain cover, and pullies... Maybe this is just what I needed to give me the excuse to go full retard.
Lol. Yeah my wife would probably kill me if I went all out on mine right now. Just spent a chunk on a clutch. Convinced her that oem was a waist of money. Gotta go performance babe!!!!
And yes chevy valve covers are cheap. I got my last set from summit for $149. They were powder coated black with a red bow tie. Pretty sweet.
Obviously I've priced every upgrade I could find for this car. Slightly more expensive for the bolt on stuff but I don't plan on getting carried away. The spacer is only a notion for now. And if I have to do anything other than a re-tune on the ecu I don't know if I can justify it for dd.
