Default hello, just starting to use my 350z

hey everyone, picked up a 05 dec2015, 95% of the time in the garage, couple of months ago my DD, 92 300zx, started leaking oil bad, so the last month been using the 350z. so far changed out the dual fans cause the driver side was sticking, all good now, oil changed last week with PP 5w-30 and a bosch filter, according to records this is the second oil change, previous owner changed at 3100mi, currently has 9155mi.

impressions so far, its way faster then my 300zx but the handling is not there, but hey its stock and the 300zx has suspension mods but for sure she needs a small suspension package, thinking no more than an inch. should be good? the interior is different but i'm getting used to it. the windows are smaller so thats a bit strange, but ok.

overall i'm starting to like it, in the next month or so, should feel natural.

thanks for the great forum been lurking for about a month now. hope to learn more and share what i can. n_den

Welcome and as far as handling goes, upgrading the swaybars will make a huge difference with a Z33.

While you'll learn a lot from the swaybar database, I don't recommend going with a rear swaybar only. The Z33 will oversteer off the road so quick, your head will still be spinning.

Also, leaving oil in the engine for years is never a good practice. Even without running, it'll degrade after just a few years and isn't recommended.

hey, after awhile i thought about that, then went ahead and pm'd a vendor here for the eibach set.

i'm the second owner, put less then 100 miles on since i've owned it, i guess good thing the Z32 is down, and that i started using the Z33, thats what made me change the oil, etc.

thanks for the tips and this forum! n_den

One more tip: check the service records and if the other fluids haven't been changed, DIY all of them soon! Antifreeze, brake and clutch fluids, tranny and diff could all use some fresh fluids. Do a little research here to find the best choices. And if the battery is still the original, consider changing it out as well.
