I haven't even driven my Z this week I need to find some motivation to do things... Car doesn't really need anything so now I'm getting bored and finding other things to work on...

Maybe I'll make an order soon though.

Mmmm tasty turbo setup. And what is the color scheme you're going for? I didn't know it was that easy to take the vortech apart either

Vortech is incredibly easy to take apart. The volute that I took off is 6 allen bolts and it just slides off the front.

And Im just doing everything wrinkle black. My car isn't a show car so no need to be pretty. Wrinkle black just seems to be the toughest and most scratch proof so thats for me.

It will all be super dusty a week after its together anyway

Im doing my exhaust differently this time around. The first change is starting with black tips so I don't have to change the color of them via fuel... These things seem MASSIVE when they aren't on the car (Paper towels for scale)

Powdercoating is done. Not sure what my phone/lighting did but it looks incredibly uneven in the picture

I won't lie, seeing the kinetix in a non shiny form hurts me a bit inside. But I'm sure everything will look good in the engine bay together.

In other news, my wheels cleared customs in California on Tuesday. Might have them by the end of next week? Who knows

The wheel news is exciting!
And shiny is just not my thing. Worst part is the kinetix shiny does not match any other polished parts.
My engine will be entirely black and subtle so it should all flow fine. And I remind myself how much I drive it and maintaining any kind of color or polish just will not happen

Maybe this will give you some more hope about the not shiny Kinetix. I also have a black timing cover and will be painting the engine bay black

Yeah that will flow really well actually. Still hurts a bit but it looks good!

Picked up Jordan's tires. Soon time to try to fit a 285/30 on a 11 -3 with no massive camber or pull. Should be fun.

I went and picked up some seats... They are like new.. Was surprised to see that the 07 base model didn't even get side airbags. Don't know if I will put them in my car or not.. Seriously thinking about putting them in my S10.

5 hours of driving and $200... Not bad.

Yea the base models really missed out on a lot of things.

And more progress has been made

Jesus... No more A.C. For you? Should make the painting go a lot easier like that... Or are you pulling that motor out?

This motor is coming out. But yes the AC is leaving. I havent used it in 3 years so no need to leave it in there. Ditching those hardlines will also help clean everything up a little
