2004 ivory pearl, undergoing a vk56 swap
#121
Wow so it seems photobucket pulled there head out of their A**. Now that I can do add pictures, I will continue,
I tried starting the car about a month ago and blew the IPDM, the TCS, and the BCM.
I have absolutely no clue what keeps happening. Now I am having a voltage creep issue. Meaning my battery voltage creeps to 17 volts and keeps going with no electrical units connected or the key in the car. I know its not the alt, the car is not running, there is no belt on it, and wires are pulled.
The problem I am having with toasting units is that the high voltage is toasting relays on the ipdm that can not be swapped, mainly the wiper and the tail lights.
I purchased new relays for them, pin to get from china, but until I figure out why I am getting 17+ voltages I am just gonna cook units again.

No progress yet.
Sorry, Project has been on hold due to new job, Relocation from CT back to NJ, and a long and cold winter with much less work space.
The point where I am at is finding an electrical issue that is acting like a capacitor. With everything connected I turn the key from first click to ACC, while looking at the multi-meter it drops from 12.5 volts to 3.5 and even after turning the key back to off and removing it. The voltage stays at 3.5 volts.
I have something acting like a capacitor and it is making things difficult because I have to disconnect the battery for 2 to 3 days for it to dissipate and continue work.
That's where I stopped, and cause the cold.

QUICKDIVERSION, I am currently in the process of doing my research on a vk56 swap into my G37. I am curious to know where and how you got your v8 to mount to you tranny, I see the adapter plate, but how does one find this? also did you use the cm from the titan engine or kept the g wiring the same? thanks in advance and look forward to hearing back from you.

Any updates on this build? Trying to decide what to swap into my Z and the VK is high on the list. I'm mainly concerned about the wiring harness and how the added weight up front affects the chaises dynamics.

For sale
The car is currently for sale, I have relocated due to work and no place to keep or finish the car.
The weight will through things off in your Z. I completely removed the secondary fire wall to push it further back
