Default Installing OEM Xenon (HID) into base Z DIY

This is for everyone like myself who have searched to no end and found no definite answer. I installed Xenon's into my base model Z today, and they seem to be working great. Here are the wires you need to join, and materials I used.

1. Left and Right wiring harness cut from a Nissan Murano, but any 8-pin Nissan should be just fine.
2. Solder
3. Electrical tape

I am going to refer to all of the wires as numbers according to their location on the harness.

DISCONNECT THE BATTERY!!

I have included a paint version of the harness, to give you an idea of how to look at the harness.

Base Z Harness

Left Right
1- Green/White 1-Purple/White
2- Red/Yellow 2-Tan
3-Black/white 3-Black/White
4-Black 4-Black
5-Red/Blue 5-Red/Blue
6-Red/Black 6-Red

Murano Harness

Left Right
1-Blue/White 1-Green
2-Green/Yellow 2-Green/Black
3-Red/Blue 3-Red/Blue
4-Red/Yellow 4-Blue
5-Black/White 5-Black/white
6-Blue/Yellow 6-Blue/Yellow
7-Red/Blue 7-Red/Blue
8-Black 8-Black

Ok, connect them like this both on the left and right side.

Murano - Z
1-3
2-1
3-2
4-4
5-6
6-6
7-5
8-4

DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK, but it has worked for me, and I take no liability on anybody elses mistakes. Also need to include to be sure and solder all your connections, and tape them up or heat shrink them well. I blew a 10 amp taillight fuse when I first hooked them up, and I replaced it, and it hasnt done it since.......once again DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK

Where did you get the Murano plug? If it's like the Z, the dealerships (around here) will only sell the entire harness.

You will have to go to a salvage yard that has Altimas or Muranos or Maximas. I got mine for $5 for both sides.

If you cant find the 8 pin plugs, what are some other options?
I work at a nissan/honda dealership and still cant find any 8 pin plugs in out harness kits...The only thing I could find is 2 8 pin plugs, but only male sides...no female.
What is the safest way to splice these wires together without blowing something else and able to support the electrical current on the HID's.
