Default 2.5" True Dual w/X-pipe *Updated DYNO #'s

Decided to go with a custom x-pipe setup for my car after researching some stuff on the boards. The shop that did the work was Exhaust Depot here in South Florida. I'm pretty happy with the way it sounds a idle and throughout the RPM band. Believe or not I have no mufflers, just a X-pipe and 2 resonators on each side. Pretty quiet, thinking of putting some resonated test-pipes later on.

Here is quick vid we did: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5hqAS0qpzEA

UPDATED DYNO #'s at Bottom of PAGE!!

cool, so many people come and go that im not sure i remember seeing your ride. im dying to hear what it sounds like. im planning on going single exhaust soon, get rid of one side of the exhaust to lighten it up and possibly get a little more power out of it. wheres exhaust depot?

Thanks for the photos from under the car. With the pipes as straight as possible, its a clean looking set-up.

Exhaust depot is off of Stirling Rd. west of the Dave and Buster's. Actually it wasn't that loud with just the two resonators, but i wanted to get some test pipes later on, so i needed to keep a balance on the noise level. Well you probably remember me as the 06Z who's car died on the dyno after we removed the intake filter (Throttle Body took a dump).

K&N Air Filter of course!!! Motordyne 5/16" Spacer and MREV 2, and thats about it. Been conservative with it so far. Debating turbo route, vortec route, or just straight N/A. My last car was a nice teaching experience of planning it out the first time all the way through.

Default GOT DYNO #'s today

Was by a Lujan Motorsports today with a friend asked if he'd mind strap me in for some quick runs. The car originally dyno'd 236whp and 209TQ on a AWD dyno uncorrected.

MODS:
K&N Filter
MREV2
5/16" spacer
2.5" True Dual w/X-pipe.

Out of 3 runs Best was-

uncorrected: 254 WHP/ 240 TQ

SAE corrected: 247WHP/234 TQ

1st Run was 241WHP/229TQ, 2nd Run 246WHP/232TQ SAE (Forgot what the STD was)

If you compare uncorrected to uncorrected I gained 18 WHP and 31 lb/ft of torque.

If you look at the dyno sheet, the HP plot takes a nose-dive after 6k RPM. I think thats kinda odd since you got the 5/16" spacer. I thought the spacer would add topend power??

The drop in HP corresponds with the ecu trying to correct the AFR back to 14.7. Look at the bottom of the graph and you'll see the AFR and how it rises from ~13ish up to almost 14. And no, this is not a "lean" condition - this is normal, though it certainly doesn't help with power.

Looks like it's time for a tune!

Yeah I suspect I do need a minor tune, just not enough for me right now to go for it. Still contemplating if I should a attempt a bolt-on record then supercharge it, or stop at this point and save up for a turbo. The next item on this list are Resonated Test Pipes. I find it strange that the ECU is trying to do this already with only 3 mods (really 2.5).

I talked to him, and he seems like a great guy, and is considering marketing them. You will really love the price. The quality of the work also seems very excellent. Ase are the material he uses. I'm ordering either the parts he used to make this, or the complete thing, if he can ship it. Big thumbs up too these guys for a great price and an even better product.
