#1 mod- yourself.

#2 mod- Tires. Same size all the way around. It will help with your understeer.

Practice with just these two until you realize your full driving style. After you've corded the tiers, you should know what you need to do next, as far as if you need to correct under/oversteer, ect.

With the camber we run stock, we will still get killed by the RX-8 in terms of turn in. We need a way to get some camber without changing that control arm

I don't know of a way to add camber on the Z without becoming illegal for Stock. You might check the Suspension section of the forum. I'm doing my best to upgrade the driver.

TMAK,
There is no way to increase front camber for BS.In case it may help you here is the setup we used on our 03 Enthusiast :

Wheels..........Kodiak(16.5#) 7.5,8.0x17
Tires.............Hoosier 275/40/17...today we would use Kumho 710 275/40/17
Shocks..........Koni DA's
Swaybar........Saner 32mm solid...your 04 OEM bar is close
Fuel load.......full tank
Toe(total).....F= 1/4" out, R= 1/16" in
Camber.........Fr -0.7L,-1.1R , Rear -1.4L,-1.4R
Exhaust delete pipe
Spacers.......1/4" front only

Full tank of gas? Interesting . . . I started a thread recently regarding how much tank is ideal for auto-x. I'm curious to know why a full tank of gas works for you. I know when I tried it, my rear end was firmly planted the entire time. It actually felt solid but heavy (for obvious reasons). It also felt more balanced.

We found out early on that both our Z's needed a full tank to minimize rear wheel spin on corner exit even with the big front bar(big bar is needed for same reason). The Z's advantage is using all that torque on corner exit and since there are very few straights in autox it all happens for the Z on corner exit.

You're preaching to the choir. If you find something before I do, please let me know. I doubt that you will under BS rules.....
Same size rubber all around has been the biggest help. Now if I can only get the effing PSI right

Thanks for the tip, how did you get over 1 degree of camber in the RF? Didn't someone in this post say you can squeeze almost 1 degree of camber in the car by playing with the upper bolt? If I can squeeze -1.5 degree in this car, I can pick up .5 sec I think.

I never thought about the full tank, maybe I should try it. I usually just use whatever I have in the tank that day.

I dont run at the SCCA level, but I run quite a bit at the local level with moderate success. I am interested in bringing the car to one of the national tour just to see what's out there. Let see if the slash and burn driving style will get me out of last place haha. I just have to beat at least one RX-8 so those guys can stop talking about how fast they are.

Is that Saner bar adjustable? If so, were you on full soft?

Both of our cars had just under 1 degree on the left front and just over 1 degree on the right and that's probably what most have.Prying on the rubber bushed upper link is futile...unless you bend something which is a no no in stock class.

Our Saner bar had three holes. We ran the middle hole most of the time but used the full soft or full hard settings based on the surface conditions.

Or you could say he is the BS man. Depends on how you read his posts.

I run a Roadster in BS, and was wondering if anybody had tried removing the counterbalance weight from under the front end? Or even the one under the rear?

I know that, I was wondering if anybody had done it, and what, if any, benefit there was.
