tokina is just a tad under 600, there is the russian manual fisheye that is under $300. they're not L quality glass, but it''s nothing to shake a stick at.

i don't have any experience w/ the tokina, but the russian fisheye is pretty sweet. search potn for it, you'll see what i mean
