Default Cruise on a base with no aftermarket bs

My base has cruise!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here is how I did it:

Installed steering wheel controls. Installed clutch pedal cruise switch, installed brake cruise switch, installed cal file cf41e over cal file cf43d. I have no lights on my dash but cruise, accel, decel all work!!!!!!!!!!!!

My car officially has EVERYTHING I want!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Considering how hard it has been said it was, I submit adding three switches and a rom is damn simple.

They are the ecu codes that gives the computer the instructions of what systems are on the car. The base ecu is missing cruise. I think the new one is from a touring,

Where did you get it from? Surely you can't go down to Wal-Mart and buy rom chips for a Z

Post up a detailed DIY - I'm sure lots of people would be interested. Even without the lights, etc.

Wow. All this time I've read on here that this could only be done with major effort and expense. Good Job.

Care to share the details? Was it as simple as installing a new cruise-equipped steering wheel, pedal switches, and flash? Did you have to add any wiring or were the connectors already present?

Ahhhh... now the (pricey) details come to light. You need to change the title since it does require aftermarket BS - i.e. Uprev

No additional cost to the tune I already have. My tuner gave me the rom.

Aftermarket bs in my opinion is motors, switches or other non Nissan hardware.

I had my car tuned over a year ago and my tuner gave me the file from a model with cruise free of charge. If you have any mods you need a tune.

Yup, that is how we verified communication before I got the last switch I was missing for the brake.

Jealous of your alcantara steering wheel and having cruise on a base. Gotta order my parts ASAP.

I love the wheel. Did the same thing we did with the clutch pedal. Bought it on eBay, shipped to a guy in Dallas that wrapped it (looks factory quality) It was not cheap but imho worth every penny.

Thanks

I've got a yard of black alcantara left over when I wrapped and hand stitched my forged shift **** with it. Need to get another wheel and an upholstery sewing machine. Modify the oem wheel a good bit and widen the oem seat bolsters while recovering them in alcantara and leather.

Just need to get out of the condo then its game on.
