Default good news... NISMO and the Z

I just picked up my Z after having the NISMO brake hoses and pads installed and an oil/filter change.

According to a contact at NISMO...

1/ In the GT series in Japan... NISMO will discontinue its GT-R entry.

2/ Instead, NISMO will enter the Z33 in a twin turbo confirguration.

3/ Also, NISMO will be offering a lot more options in the near future... partly due to its new Z entry...

stay tuned... this is going to great for all of us

I wonder if the car will use the Garrett research turbos that were mentioned in a NISMO article almost a year ago (attached).

Good news, yes. Wonder what some of the other options might be. Not really interested in the GTR or twin turbos. Just want a sporty, reliable daily drive.

Maybe a few more hp, to bring it up to an even 300. That would be nice.

Im not 100% sure, but i dont think they will be able to use our engines (VQ35DE), I think they can only use 3.0 liters for the GT as of right now. Thats why they made the switch to the VQ in the first place. Im pretty sure the Z33 is gonna get a VQ30DETT as its motor. Still cool tho...

I heard from a pretty reliable source as well, that Nismo may be working on a turbo setup that will be NISSAN warranty friendly. This is even more good news that you bring!!! Also when and if they bring the turbo, he thinks the brickyard color might be back...???

I would like to see that road hazard orange that the original Z's had. Surprised that it is not offered on this car since it is supposed to harken back to the original Z.
