Nora and I think, we'll leave L A around 7am Saturday, drive to Santa Barbara have breakfast at 9 in SB and hit San Luis Obisbo around 11-11:30 to meet up with the Central Cal Guys (Sosa & Company) Hook up and be at Hearst Castle by 12/12:30 to link up with the North Cal Bunch. Do the 2pm tour hang around ,Have a early dinner, do the evening tour. and stay over night in San Simon/Cambria and head back down leasurely in the morning down the coast hwy( 1), take pictures, stop in Salvang and Andersons Pea soup late lunch and then blaze back to LA.

Does this sound like a workable plan to anyone else?

Does anyone know any good motels in the Hearst Castle area?.

 

Bullet is propably the northern most member flying out of town We should all meet off the freeway in thousand Oaks at a Mc donalds or Carls. Is there a place like this in Thousand Oaks, Bullet?

If we leave Thousand Oaks by 7;30 we can make SB by 9 and San Luis Obisbo by 11-11:30 to link up with the Central Cal group

The Madonna inn, I know about, Mrs Twisted and I stayed there 30 years ago (in the day when Motel 6's were $6 dollors a nite() We stayed in the "Austrian Suite" back then it was $50 a night. Back then it was ton of money to sleep in the same bed Paul Newman & Jo ann Woodward did the deed in. Todays rate is $280 a night, tgib or the Mrs would have to stay there again. Got to save that Turbo money, you know.

Looking for something more reasonable so the group can stay together.

 

We can meet in the McDonald's parking lot in Agoura Hills/Thousand Oaks area. Take the Kanan off ramp (from the Ventura fwy) and turn right and then right at the first traffic signal which is a frontage road. Macs is right there.
Twisted has suggested a meeting time of 7:30am so we can hit Santa Barbara by 9 or so. We should start a list so we know who is interested or going, what tour, staying overnight and where etc. What do you think?

 

There is a huge meet of European cars in Santa Barbara on April 10. Lot's of BMWs Audis, VWs, etc. will be driving up to S.B. for the event. I was gonna go in my Audi but decided to have a pre-Easter brunch with the family instead.

We signed up for the #2 tour,plan to hang around for the evening tour 7:30 and then heading down to Monterey for dinner. Staying over night in Monterey and heading to Salvang in the morning down highway 1 taking pics and sightseeing with friends.

BTW I'll be bring Tadashi and Yoko and the Twisted Z 2 with us as well.......
