Very Late to the Game... 4.1L Stroker w/Greddy Twin 18gs
Hello! So I am extremely late to the 350z game, but I recently picked up an '06 350z, with the BC 4.1L stroker kit and Greddy Twin Turbo 18g kit. I have owned several aftermarket boosted cars in the past and "tuned" a handful of my own and others cars myself. Tuned is in quotes, as I am not a self-professed tuner, but have made duty cycle/fuel table changes in the past to help rich/lean out the afrs, after being handed canned tunes. Really only bringing this up so to say that I know the basics and dangers of tuning, not a complete idiot. However, I have no experience with the Greddy E-Manage. I have experience with most of the Apexi SAFCs, Diablo Handheld Tuners, AEM EMS, etc.
The car is currently sitting at 6psi boost, putting down around 450whp.
The problem I am having is most of the threads I come across are back from '06-'10 and the tools/parts we have access to now are vastly different.
I am looking to up the boost slightly on the car(6psi to 8-9psi), but unsure if I will need to make adjustments in the Greddy E-Manage system to do so. Previous cars I have tuned, more boost means more fuel. I have experienced systems that automatically adjust based on hitting certain AFRs or based on intake pressure or some that you have to manually add in the fuel. As most of the info I can find about the Greddy Emanage that came with the kit is outdated, I am hoping someone can tell me that if adding a couple of PSI of boost will require me to manually manipulate the fuel table or will the system automatically compensate?
Also, from what I have read, the 440cc injectors are a hold back, do we know how much boost they can handle? I know getting new injectors will need a new tune, but it seems like that just adding new injectors, means that my fuel pump will run out power and will need a new setup. As of right now, I am not looking to go to a hp number that requires me to do that currently, but want to make sure I am upping the boost safely.
Thanks for all of your help!

Welcome!!
The E-manage has been dogged for a long time. Most go with Osiris or step up to Haltech piggyback or Haltech stand alone....Big Money$$$.
Yes I have a built Revup with Greddy 18g's and run DW800's with a single pump.......lot of folks going to E85 with much larger injectors and a dual pump setup, again more $$$.
I have a daughter in Nashville and go up as often as possible. Is there still a place called "Carma" or something similar that handles forced induction builds?
Not a lot of boosted Revups around.

dyno that car with a sniffer.
ditch the emanage.
How do you know it is a stroker? The Bc kit is normally 4.2l i thought. Should make great power. Turbos will run out of breath at 700ish whp..but you need some upgrades to run that (clutch, fuel system)
pic of car?

A haltech will likely be pre-programed for a boost controller, add a $30 MAC solenoid and your boost control is setup.
this...
6psi to 9psi on 4liters will yield a healthy gain ...
sorta excited to see this take shape...You got pictures OP?

So in an interesting twist to all of this, I actually own a G35 that is built and tuned with Osiris UpRev and have left it pretty much how I bought it. Here is how I bought it: https://g35driver.com/forums/g35-car...fast-sale.html
I have toyed around with the idea of buying the UpRev tuner license and messing around with it, but never 100% committed to it because I didnt feel comfortable with it.
I bought the 350z last year and now I love it much more than the g35, hence the post today about it, instead of the g35...

Thanks for responding. This is my exact worry. Everything I have read, seems to imply that the 450ish out of the 4.1 I have is close to maxing it...

I have paperwork for the stroker that it was installed on this specific car. Also, 4.1l is a common stroker kit for the z. http://www.importpartspro.com/brcr4stkit03.html
Almost all stroker kits I find for the 350z are 4.1... Not sure why that would be a question?
Will upload a pic soon!

Damn two TT VQ's?!?!? What other vehicles you run?
This is just my opinion but the guys at Dynosty in Kentucky are really damn good with this platform. But you will spend some money taking it there. Good source for knowledge if you buy parts from them, I'd give them a call.
ANd not too far from NashVegas

Anyways, I have looked into dynosty and they are definitely an option. Someone else has given me a thought about finding an uprev tuner and I can take both cars there, so that they are on the same tuning platform.

I have the same stroker kit with 100mm bore. So yeah 4.15, some people say 4.1 and some say 4.2L. I say 4.2 and call my car a g43. I mean Mercedes did it with their 6.2 and C63 why can’t we? Lol
You have waaaay too much motor and everything else is just useless.
You can make over 800whp on that motor. The turbos will max kit around 660-750.
Your injectors are too small, get ID1000 or ID1300. If you’re still running stock fuel system you will need a fuel return kit and a 255lph fuel pump or a 450 is even better.
Throw that Greddy management I’m the garbage and go UpRev or Haltech if you money to spare.
I have same motor and turbo setup, however my turbos have 20G wheels and I have a BIG *** intercooler and few other mods.

If you ever want to go E85 then a 1300cc injector is probably the lowest/smallest you'd want to go. In which case, just get the CJM dual fuel pump basket (which comes with pumps).
The **** thing about your setup (like sam said) is your motor is a lightyear ahead of your transmission/clutch/drive shafts and to fully utilize your full power potential.
If you are cool with 600-800hp, stick with petro, get a 320 or 450lph pump($100), upgrade your injectors to 1000cc($600), get a used haltech($1000) and get retuned($500) and you'll be safely at 600-800hp at 15-18psi on a some-what reliable setup...you'll burn through your clutch at some point or snap a drive shaft - but hey, that's life (and what self respecting VQ owner hasn't smoked a clutch disk or fiber'ized a driveshaft - rite of passage if you ask me!)
