Default Anyone in North Alabama

I've seen one other Z in North Alabama, a Sunset Lemans in Huntsville. Who else on this board is in the Huntsville-Decatur area?

Drive it like you own it.

Thumbs up I live in Central Alabama

I live in Lincoln Alabama. But my wife and I drive to Huntsville alot. We like to drive on te weekends. It would be cool to get a club started in North/Central Alabama. We drive a Redline.

Hi Adam,

It sure is nice to hear from somebody. I've seen 4 different Z's in the Huntsville area and I know there have been more sold. I'm not sure whether a club in this area is feasible. Maybe we could start with a group drive to some attraction and back but we'd need to attract a few more to make it fun.

I do know that you have some great roads in your area for fun driving. I've ran the back roads on race day to and from Talledaga. None of them are straight or level.

Regards,
Mike

Default Birmingham here!

I think there have been probably around 25-30 Z's sold here. I personally have only seen about 10 including mine. I would love to take a drive. Did someone say club?

Default Drive time.

Hey Heo2boy,

Nice to hear from another local! DriveI65 and I were talking about getting together for a drive as soon as it stops raining and warms up a little. I will PM you when we get something going. I live 30 minutes east of B-ham on I 20. Keep an eye open for more Z's around here that would be interested in a ride. Maybe we could swarm F1 motorsports over there with Z's. Who knows, we may be getting something started.

Later,

I agree. I've got cabin fever and need to get out and enjoy myself. My wife and I are ready when the weather is right. A run through the countryside to a nice resturant would be great.

Thumbs down Rain....Rain......

Still raining. I wonder when it is going to clear up and stay warm for a while? I am ready to ride!
I still have not seen any more 350z's locally. I know they are out there. Have you guys seen any running around? I am going to print up some business cards and give them to anyone I catch driving a 350z around here. I am going to put my E-mail, and the address of My350z.com. Maybe I can draw enough people together to form an Alabama club.

There is a Z club in B'ham that exists. They meet I think every 3rd thursday of the month at a restaurant on Oxmoor RD. I can't remember which restaraunt though. Look on the net for Birmingham, AL Z club. Anyway, I haven't been to a meeting personally. (thats obvious) but I am still interested in getting a ride together when it warms up. Keep me posted. D

Yesterday wasn't too bad and I was returning from Florda on business then hit traffic in Montgomery. Instead of heading for I-65 and the masses my wife and I decided to try US-231 North. Just above Wetumpka it turns into a real nice 2 lane road with almost no traffic! Whether it was the time of day, 3:30PM, or what, I really enjoyed cruising through the winding roads up and down the foothills. Great scenery, smooth road and the late afternoon elevated my mood after the rain around Tallahassee.

When we got to Sylacauga I took US-231/US-280 which was a mistake. I was trying to avoid Birmingham traffic and failed. I should have kept going up Al-21. Next time I won't make that mistake.

The section of 231 from Wetumpka to Sylacauga is highly recommended if you have the time for an enjoyable trip. I'm looking forward to trying out AL-21 through the Talledaga forest later this year.
