Default Great New Orleans/Baton Rouge tuner!!!

For those of you in the southeast Louisiana area who have been trying to find someone reputable or trustworthy enough to tune your VQ, I highly recommend Corr Performance (corrperformance.com) in BatonRouge/PortAllen. I just brought my turbonetics Z over there and was happy with the results.

They use a DynoDynamics chasis which shows about 15% lower max rwhp then the local Dyno Jets, so the my DJ corrected numbers would be around 408-410whp. This was all on the stock wastegate (9lb spring)! I have the Blitz SBC-ID but the solenoids on it stopped working on the way up there(of all the rotten luck). However, there was no turning back...I was going to get my tune. It will only get more powerful, and make more power faster once the solenoids are replaced.

Anyway, I know I spent time looking for a shop that could tune a UTEC, and there are probably others in the same boat as me, so I figured I'd share with the class. If you call Corr, tell them that "Trash" sent you. Can't say enough good things about them.

That's great news. I'm not surprised though because everybody that I've talked with who's used them has been satisified so far. I'm curious, how long did it take them to tune the UTEC? Did you get it through them or buy it yourself?

Blaise thanks for the kind words, but none of this would have been possible with out Jonathan(for recommeding us) and your trust in us with your investment. I think other ppl perhaps have made more power at that boost level, but we were trying to be conservative. Especially since this was our first UTEC tune. I have to say those engines are very robust.

Well since we had some issues as he explained with the EBC, after we decided to run of the WG we spent like 5.5 hrs tweaking it and taking our time to get to a nice safe point that made the expected power and brought a smile to midnyte's face. There was a little small hicup in 4th gear during a WOT run in the street that night that we did not witness at all during the whole time in the dyno. So we are going to address that as well.
I will continue to lurk inthis forum and try to learn as mush as I can about these engines.

I purchased it myself. We wasted a ton of time because of the boost controller dying. I had it on manual...still caused overboost...set it to auto...still caused overboost....set it to stock....still caused overboost. Apparently the solenoids on it went out and were not releasing the pressure to let the waste gate open. Al and J spent ALOT of time in between those runs trying to tune waaaaaay safe to make sure my motor stayed together. After all, that turbonetics kit was consistantly boosing to 15psi on my stock block. Once I just said screw it, I'll disconnect it all together, we could start tuning off the stock wastegate. All in all, they were very patient, and I'm extremely happy with the results. Once I get the parts to fix the ebc-id from blitz, I'll revisit them, and see what we can do at 9-9.5 (which is where I was running before).

Thanks for the kind words Trash. As my brother said, we really appreciate you trusting us with your beautiful car and setup. Thanks to Johnathan as well for swaying you to use our services. Hope you get that solenoid problem sorted out soon so we can see what it does with holding the boost to where you like it as well as that small hiccup on the street. Now, my girl is wondering about a used 350z ever since sunday when she saw your car and the turbo kit.

No problem bro... Most of the time you only get to hear about the bad experiences people have with different shops. We usually dont take the time to share the good ones. Until now we havent been able to find a local UTEC tuner - so I just wanted to make sure people know ya'll are there for them.
