Branson Z Fest will be held the weekend of May 7-11th, 2008 in Branson, MO.
Last year's event had Z's from Arkansas, Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, Illinois, Tennessee, Louisiana, Mississippi, and naturally Missouri.
The website is not up and running yet but I did want to let you know the dates so you can plan your vacations, time off, etc.
And, yes, this is Mother's Day weekend so you might want to start sweet talking your mom's and /or wives now!
I'll post when the website is up and registration is open.

It's not that bad of a drive. Ft. Riley is about 2-2.5 hours from Kansas City and Branson is 3.5 to 4 hours from Kansas City. It's 4 lane all the way.
Last year we had cars come in from CA., AZ., TX., OK., KS., CO., NE., IA., MO., AR., MS., TN., IL., MI., and N.J.
It's for all generations.

Do you know how they are coordinating the trip? That sounds like an idea.

UPDATE ON BRANSON Z FEST 2008!!
Plans are proceeding. Things have gone from "neutral" to "1st gear" and are accelerating.
The website www.bransonzfest is being updated and will be "Open For Business" very soon. Details re. the daily events, host hotel, etc. will be included.
Officially the dates are May 8-11 but there is a drive scheduled on the 8th so I'll probably go down the 7th. Everything is wide open so you can come and stay as long-or as short-as you want.
I'll be posting updates.

Blu Hvn is on top of it. I am the Special Event Coordinator for BZF'08. We have some new things planned for this year. Each day has multiple things planned to entertain you for the 3 (or 4) day event. Like Blu Hvn stated - you can stay as log as you want.

Check this link out for an idea where you will be spending the day Sat. for the Car Show. http://www.area57events.com/about.cfm
This is located on the Branson Strip. The area is full of things to do and see. There are a couple of "destination drives" scheduled for your cruising pleasure. The roads that we have in mind are some of the most exhilerating you have ever driven. They can be compared to "The Tail of The Dragon", except that they go on for miles and miles. (A lot less Police presence - Ooops I wasn't supposed to say that) We have had drivers in the past with a need to pull over, after curve on top of curve, so the passengers could Ralph!
Here is a hint to one of the destinations: http://www.eurekasprings.org/
Tell the boss your next vacation is May 7-12, 2008 Hope to see you there. Stay tuned to www.bransonzfest.com for updates.
