Most dealerships have good benefits, and pay well. Sometimes you deal with alot of bs, sometimes you don't. If it's something that interest you, then give it a shot.

If you were in the NO area, I desperately need a shop manager for one of my stores!

My father works for Toyota. has been doing it supporting a family of 4 for 30+ years. Toyota's a great company to work for and is pretty well off. Only down fall i hear about is management usually sucks. I'd take it imho.

I'd make more $ an hour by about 20 cents but where I'm at now gives me up to $3500 since I'm a full time student and worker and toyota won't give me that

price leblanc toyota as the lead accessory installer.........since your a tech and I'm bought to drop my tranny and try to fix it myself. Do you know how to fix the shifter on our cars???? I got the tranny replaced b/c synchro's were bad under warranty but now going into 5th or 6th the shifter travels too far over. they tried to fix it once and helped it cause I could get it in reverse w/o pushing down but they fixed it enough to push down and over a mm to get it in.
Also after 3000 miles is it normal to only get 3 quarts out on the rev up.

I've my tranny replaced a few monthes ago under warranty. I have a 6-speed and before in order to go into reverse, you have to push the shifter down to go over that far. Well mine is out of alignment or something. If I'm in any gear 1-4 and try to go into 5th or 6th the shifter travels too far over toward reverse and hits the wall instead of going into 5th or 6th so what I have to do while driving it is feel for the 5th and 6th to get it in. Do you know how to fix that problem?

yikes...wish i knew what to tell you but ive never heard of anyone having that sort of problem. How long has it been since you had the transmission replaced? There is a 12 month/12k mile guarantee so if you're still covered by that (or your regular warranty, of course), i would recommend taking it back and showing them the problem.

I had it replaced a few days before christmas 07. Its been back twice now. Once b/c the shifter and also the rubber boot that covers up the shifter linage was eaten by my driveshaft on my way home for christmas. They've been taking about replacing the tranny again which I guess would be fine but I just DON'T want my car lemoned. I've been dealing with drivetrain issues since last summer and know its getting close.

Maybe, you should try to take it to All-Star, and have Brett himself take a look at it for you.

It could just be your guide plates out of alignment under the shifter boot.
