Zach wont you get the same seat time regardless of class? it seemed to me everyone got 3 runs each time? Thing i seen that killed you was tire spinning in corners cough cough diff and maybe some diff tires. I know when i put my hotchkis kit on it made a world of diff. David can attest to that since he drove brads car

Lol! Nothin wrong with shooting the peas!
Yeah the seat time would be the same but I wouldn't be put against so many other cars that would tear me a new one in the BSP class. I guess your right though about the seat time. Didn't think of it that way. I know I DEF need better tires and a dif would make me a world of difference. And I figured that since I had the 350evo sways I might as well put those on in the meantime of maybe swapping out to the Hotchkis kit or other. Maybe that would help me a lot too. I know I don't like my brakes so well. They seem way spongy/squishy on me when trying to brake hard. May need to look into ss lines and pads or just waitin a while and lookin into getting that Akebono 370 bbk that I found for a good price. Idk though. Still looking into options.

Look here is my take on racing faster guys! it makes you better. I used to get discouraged in the gym when rolling/sparring w/dudes that would always submit me. But after awhile times change and all that experience rubbed off, I was able to see/feel/etc. what they were doing so in turn i was able to do it. If i was w/someone w/the same skills as me? **** what good would have that done you know Im by no means a pro or novice at autox but i can drive my car (or atleast everyone had a hell of a time keeping up when i decided to drive) on the dragon. If your brakes feel spongy i would invest in ss lines and do a fluid change. I dont care for motol and **** like some of others as they attract moisture and you have to make sure you change it. I would def put some sways on. I love my hotckis kit as it's not so aggressive i dont drag over speed bumps and IMO my car has a nice stance. Handling was greatly increased also. I hated the oem brake pads only because of all the dust, PERIOD. but performance wise they did fine by me. Only problem i got w/oem brakes was some fade from from heat soak, which i dont think you can get in that small track. but i do think ss lines would make pedal feel better.

I havent been shooting in years....But I do know that nelson shoots. I think he has started to get back into it.
But about the classing. In stock class you can do a catback, front sway bar, shock/struts ( no springs). The wheels have to be the same size as stock wheels, but can be any wheels. You can change pads and some comfort and convience items i.e. gauges, ect. You can also do a alignment using factory adjustment.
In bsp you can do a lot. You are very far from being slightly prepped for bsp coilovers, front and rear sways, camber arms, tune, full bolt on ( no internal mods) racing seats, any wheels you want, fenders being rolled. Last year a 350z trophied in bsp at nationals. He posted on this website and actually had a thead selling his car. It had the mod list as well...

^ SWEET!
Pedal feel was def not good. It felt that I had to push down at least an inch or more just to get brake engagement. Brakes as well as tires are two major things I need to invest in for sure.

I do. I was even a sponsored combat pistol/three gun shooter back in the 1990s.
As for brakes, etc, even stock brakes have enough torque to lock up race rubber. The only thing you get from bigger brakes is fade resistance, and that's a non-issue in autocross.
Fluid could be something worth looking into. If yours has absorbed a lot of water or has air in the lines (even a microscopic amount) it can impair braking. The stock Z lines might not stand up to hard core tracking, but they don't feel spongy even under very hard braking.
And if you want the final word on what you can do to your car in the respective classes, read this: http://cms.scca.com/documents/Solo_R...Solo_Rules.pdf Sections 13 and later cover the class-specific rules, though there are some general rules before that.

Sweet so i take it you have several guns correct? I'm guessing a 1911 was in your 3 gun arsenal? more info please curious on the guns you shot, etc. and i've heard they hold some big events here in the state? so you prolly know that also. I would enjoy going to see one, I would love to go through some classes(self defense, home defense, combat, etc) or some 3 gun stuff.

alittle PSA for you homo-wners.. I just found out about this change to the energy star program.
http://www.energystar.gov/index.cfm?...pr_tax_credits
basically, in the past, you'd pay an extra 2000-3000 and get *up* to a whopping $300 back. Now covered: doors, windows, ROOFs, most HVAC.. and so on. 30% up to $1500. The new restrictions are so minimal that you'd have to try not to be eligible. Check out the link, i know many of us are remodeling to some degree. Some good tax savings.
