This may be premature. This may be tentative. I found on the HPT website that they have 12 dates in 2009 set aside for the Touring Club.

Touring Club is an event where "regular" people can drive their cars on the HPT road course. If I recall correctly from the past, there is a membership fee to join Touring Club (around $25.00?) then a per event fee (around $50.00?). Also, there are restrictions as to the cars allowed (i.e. some convertibles not allowed), your car is subjected to a safety inspection, and you must have an approved helmet.

The event is limited to set number of cars. Depending upon the skill level of the drivers, etc. you are broken up into groups of about 10 cars. They rotate the groups on the track until dark. PLEASE>>>refer to www.hpt.com for a better explanation and confirmation of this info.

#6 June 24.
#7 July 15.

Heartland Park has finally updated their website re. Touring Club fees, etc.
