I was in Tulsa a couple of weeks ago, in my suv. I live 55 min away from the Arkansas/Oklahoma border, and the roads were horrible on the way to Tulsa. 1-40 is on one side of the interstate and its divided by barriers, not to mention its filled w/ potholes. Im looking at a 4 and a half hour trip but I know it will be worth it.

I just asked my pops if he can help me haul my car down there, looks like ill be seeing you all on April, 17th.

Tomorrow a bunch of us will be out at the Sheriffs Track. It's gonna be my first track day and I'm excited about it! I've got the oil cooler installed so I can stay out there (I've heard the HR's are prone to going into limp-mode from the oil getting too hot after some really spirited driving over the long haul).

Now I just hope my motorcycle helmet works as a "Track helmet" this time out.

I've heard that about the 370Z's but not the 350Z. I bet you'll have a blast at the Track. That looks like a great set up.

 

I've not heard of the issue on the DE and Rev-Up 350z's... but I have on the HR's (They share the same block, after all, as the 370z). Since I've got me an HR (and I personally know one guy with a G37 who's had the problem already), I figured I'd save myself the trouble.

OMG I haven't posted in here since page 7 and I'm not going to read all that I've missed.

I kinda forgot about this place. lol it was so dead I stopped coming back.

Anything going on in the Tulsa area any time soon?

 

Only thing I know about is the Midnights and Hallet (COMMA). All the OKC guys have started using facebook for all communications about the ongoings over there. Sad to say, us T-Town boyz just arent organized enough to get anything together, or maybe we are just too old and don't have time. Thats my excuse anyway LOL.

 

Cuz OKC goes hard!lol, yeah man VQ scene here is gettin better and better every year. you tulsa guys should come thru sometime

Seriously though... welcome! Post some pics up or your ride and come roll with us sometime! Anybody's welcome, of course! Nissan, Honda, VW, Chevy, Ford... don't matta'! We usually have a showing of several Z's and G's, a Hyundai Genesis (who's currently MIA due to some person rear ending it), a tricked out Civic Si (who's MIA right now 'cause the drivers deployed over seas), and a new 5.0 Mustang. Oh... and once in a while a Supra.

 

People are lazy. Facebook is something everyone (ok... almost everyone) has that notifies you about new stuff, and has an easy to get to App on most smart phones now days. It was just easier to communicate, share ideas, pictures, video's, and schedule rides and events there.

 

Soon enough, soon enough I can't wait!

Its been a few months since I have posted but this site has been great for learning about the car. Here is a pick of my Z next to my XJ. The Z is stock except for a new radio and bluetooth. All my money gets dumped into the jeep. The acronym Just Empty Every Pocket is sad but true. The stupid thing broke down right before the snow storm and the Z was blocked in. Fun times!

That was my next project until the xj was vandalized. Someone put a soda can through the rear passenger window and stole the Hella 500's off the bumper. The Z was parked next the xj and wasn't touched thankfully. The joke was on them with the 500's though, they were smashed thanks to a DA who backed into me and completely destroyed his rear end but only damaged the lights. It actually saved me the hassle of removing them!

I loved the daytona blue but had a hard time finding an 07/08 in that color with low miles and that wasn't riced out. I still love the 06.

I'm pretty sure I've seen your car around actually. Didn't you recently replace your carbon fiber rear hatch because the wind grabbed it and put some stress cracks in it? I really was thinking about seeing that in person to see how bad it really was, but I figure it's sold by now. If that wasn't you... then don't mind me.

And sure... we'll let it count. You'd only really need the 06+ headlights and the 07+ motor/tranny and you'd be a full-blooded HR... your almost halfway there!

Again, sexy color! We need some more people to come out on our cruises and what-not. This site is good for info most of the time... when you can get past the haters and if you've got command of that search function.

Plan (part 1): Meet up at Braums on 39th Street in Bethany. Soon as everybody is there (around 5:30ish at the latest I'd think), we'll be rolling to Okarche for some Eichens (cash only, for those that don't know). When that's over, if time permits we will have a short photo shoot somewhere, then head back towards OKC.

Plan (part 2): Meet up at Sonic (next to Hooters) on NW Expressway in OKC at 9pm... roll out to the Car Wash for chilling and shinanigans at about 9:30ish till whenever.
