Went by Southern States Nissan to look at the new Frontier King Cab (me likes ). While I was there I saw they had about 9 350Zs lined up near the office. Stopped to see how much they run...a 350Z touring with 6 speed was $37,000. What are they smoking?

I dunno but they're definitely smoking something at Souther States Nissan because that's the worst dealership I've ever dealt with in my life. I've talked to others who have said the same thing. So far Michael Jordan Nissan has treated me good though. Avoid Southern States if you're actually going to buy.

I bought from Eastern Carolina Nissan in New Bern, NC because they were willing to deal and the Raleigh dealerships were not. The experience for me was good and I would buy from them again. I also bought mine over a year ago, though.

If you see one you want and they won't deal, find a dealership that will and then ask them to find you a car with certain options that just happen to be the exact options on one of the local cars. My Dad once played Capital Ford and Crossroads to get a certain car he wanted. Crossroads wouldn't deal and Captial would. Cap tradded Cross for the car and he got exactly what he wanted for the price. That dude at Crossroads was pissed, but he missed out on the deal by not coming down on price.

EDIT: Spelling...

Bought mine at Michael Jordan, had my car shipped to me, and I still only paid 750 above invoice. THe did a great job prepping the car and I have been happy with their service (1 oil change). They seem to start a bit pricey but you can move them down quickly if you know your stuff. Good Luck.

Got mine from RPM Nissan as well about 4 months ago. My buying experience was funny because they were rather unorganized and I was about to walk out when negotiating until the manager intervened and we agreed on a reasonable price.

The salesmen for the most part were friendly, but the one I worked with had no negotiating skills at all. He did let me take multiple test drives for extended amounts of time which was cool.

I had my first oil change and some other minor work about 2 weeks ago and I'd have to say that the service is average and I was somewhat disappointed. I get better treatment with my integra at the Acura dealership!

Happy shopping!

ABSOLUTELY!!! STAY AWAY FROM SOUTHERN STATES!!! Arghh.. Just check out Fresh ally to see my story. Basically they drove my new Pathfinder 400 miles to deliver "as new" and didn't tell me until after the fact that that was what they were going to do. They offered no resitution. I am still fighting through various channels with them regarding this. I won't rest until it is resolved.

I bought mine in October, there was actaully a triangle Z meet going on the day I bought it, so I had alot of people to talk to, and bounce ideas off of. It was good and bad, good cause I got to learn alot, bad because I was bit by the mod bug way to quick. I was already wanting to mod before I got it off the lot.

I would not have accepted delivery.

You are absolutely right... But the way things happened, it turns out that we were better off going after them for improperly operating the vehicle during the break-in period. If I would not have accepted delivery-because the creditor agreement was separate for financing, I would still have had to deal with either payingthe car payment until the issue was resolved or recanting the loan agreement.

Good point.

I used to use their service department all the time. I gave them three strikes. Came in for a tire rotation that wound up taking 3 hours. Strike one. Came back again for computer reflash, kept me another 3 hours and then said the computer couldn't download the program (should have known that 2.55 hours ago). Strike 2. Went in for a TSB that wound up taking 15 minutes, they kept me their for 4 hours, went outside and the car was still sitting their wating to go in. I had shown up at 7:30am and was the first one in line with a reservation for that day. I was treated very rudely by one of their Service Techs and then asked to give him Excellent on the survey after this ordeal. No free oil change, no discount on parts...nothing. I caused quite a small scene and they never sent the survey...so I called Nissan and had them send me one so I could rate that service. Never again.
