Is ANYONE going to the D1 Drift event in Atlanta??
I plan on attending on Friday night, and all day Sat. It's at Road Atlanta. For those who havent seen a professional drift event, you are in for a TREAT. I was not a huge drifting fan until I saw my first event at JGTC back at the California Speed Way in the LA area. The Drift events also turn into a defacto casual car club convetion and car show. It's fun just to stroll the parking lot and check out everyone's rides.
If anyone wants to cruise together (The built 350Z TT's first long distance journey), I am heading south from the Charlotte area around 3pm or so on Friday.

I might go, it all depends on what time I get off defensive driving class. I got caught speeding a little and another car was next to me?!?
I fnot there is usually a litlle get to gether me a my friends do every saturday we could probably meet after you get out of the drift show off?
You could give me a call once your out of there plus I lve like 10 to 15 min away for road atlanta.
So if your down? I like to see your car probably I'll get more motivated to get my engine built faster...

Sounds good to me. Just give me a call on the cell. If you cant make it to the drift event, we will be staying at the Westin in/near Buckhead on Sat night. Lets hook-up for a little ALT cruise/terror run.

I will be going on sat night. I went last year and had a great time. If anyone wants to hook up on sat drop me a line erik@iescylinders.com. I might take the panoz out there since they own the track but if there are alot of z's going i will show the z pride.

Road ATL Drifting
I'm looking at the schedule for Friday and Saturday. The drifting does not begin until the afternoon on both days. There are road races in several classes in the morning through early afternoon. Looks like the weather wil cooperate.

didn't get to meet the man himself though.. i waited around a little, but u never showed... i went to watch some drifting and came back to my car to find a fordged internals card on the door hahaha.. i had the DB Z TT with the ugly *** konig's which i am changing on monday, but anyways the car looked hott

There were lots of Greddy TT's there.... and lots of 350's and G35's all over the place. I was hoping to win best Nissan, but that darn Skyline took the award.
They always win...LOLI met with Kyle, Josh, Mike (from 350Z Frenzy), his wife, and a few other people. It was great fun! The drifting was spectacular as usual.
