I know the Triangle Z Club guys will be going, of course. Wondering if anyone from Charlotte and/or Winston-Salem wants to go. I'm going and figured we could get a caravan together for anyone interested in heading up for the day. How about some of my peeps? lil? tenaciousj? newcredit?

This is a definite item for me. Their website says the picnic is the 26th (which is a Sunday), but I'm not sure that is correct. I thought it was going to be on Saturday. I've contacted Triangle Z and, when I have details, will post a plan for meeting in CLT and stopping in W-S on the way.

Hopefully, we'll have a few more folks jump on board for this run.

 

Okay, here's the official plan. The TZC picnic is near Raleigh at Harris Lake County Park on Saturday, June 25th from 11am to 4pm.

8:30am-9:00am: 1st group to meet in Charlotte. location to be determined
9:00am: depart from Charlotte
10:30am: stop in GB area to meet anyone in 2nd group. location to be determined
10:45am: depart from GB area
12:30pm: Arrive at Harris Lake
late afternoon: return home

Unless we have absolutely abysmal weather, I will be going regardless of anyone else participating. So, if you are in, please add your name to the list.

Okay, Shane (lil) and I are definitely in. Plan is to meet at the Hooters near Concord Mills mall and depart from there approximately 9am on Sat, June 25th. Anyone from the Charlotte area planning to go should meet us there between 8:30 and 9:00

This should put us in Greensboro around 10:30am. Anyone in that area that cares to join us should suggest a good meeting place just off of I-85 where we can stop for 15-20 minutes to group up.

Well just have to put you in charge of an evening out in Greensboro soon! I'd offer some suggestions but the only late night thing I've ever done up in Greenboro has been midnight bowling.

 

BTW, for those interested. The plan is still intact for Saturday. Unless someone from Greensboro speaks up, we will only make a quick break stop there along the way.
