I'll post something on our email list to try to generate some interest. I'd be there, but I've got family stuff out of town

Too bad there are no category for G's. I think we may have a few going!

Stack - if you can direct them here or keep us updated here I would greatly appreciate it.

Ant...

Glad to see you're trying to make it down here. If you guys can get down Friday night, several people are going to meet at CPRacing then probably head out for dinner and some drinks.

I'll check with the club to see if the Gs are eligible for the open class. I think it is still limited to Nissan models, but doesn't hurt to ask.

That's what Cameron and I were thinking about doing anyway! He is comming from Wilmington. I would rather do it that way so I'm not exhausted.

Hey guys... looking at the registration form: http://www.carolinazclub.net///ZJAM2...rationForm.rtf there is a Datsun/Nissan open category where the G35s could compete (I guess... even though they are Infinity lol)

I wish I could compete in the open Category, but my front bumper is trashed! I hope my boy can make it look a slightly decent by Friday!

Guys, just a heads up in case you haven't heard. G35s canNOT compete in the Nissan open category. Of course, we'll still love to have you down, but it is a Z show at a Nissan dealership and the classes are only open to Datsun/Nissan cars.

Dammit, I'll change all of my emblems and the steering wheel! What can you do then!

Your steering wheel is on the wrong side...disqualified!

We'd still love to see all you G35 guys though. And of course your welcome to meet up with us and head down to Rockingham Dragway that night to seek revenge on the Z's for earlier that day, lol. Check out the main thread for info on the trek to the strip afterwards, ANYBODY can join us for that. So far we might have a Nova, a Lightning and a Vette or a Camero joining us at the Rock in addition to us Zers.

We'll work on that for next year.

See you guys in 2 days!

That's funny, Mike... I was thinking something similar. Maybe we could tie a drag event date to our show date next year and make that an 'official' addition to the show.

I just hate that Ron's Z won't be there this time. We ran neck and neck on the last run at Rockingham last fall. Now that I'm running right, it would have been nice to see how much I'd pull on him before the current upgrades in progress.

Course you haven't seen the videos to notice the massive smoke screen Ron was Laying down behind him on those runs lol. Those POOR POOR turbos, hehe. I believe yall ran several times and in the end you guys where about even as far as W/L totals.

Maybe you can talk Brian or Dave into running you. If you all could master your cars at the strip they would probably be your best matches. Course Brian has an issue of downshifting into 2nd instead of hitting 4th, lol (Thats what toasted his clutch). It would be fun to set up a CZC bracket race one of these times we head down there and give out some certificates or something. Like Best cut light, most consitent, etc...

I Agree, it's great that this thing at the Rock is going on the same day. My Dad and I mentioned that exact same thing of coordinaing it with the Rock T&T again next year.

Guys, sorry that g35's can't enter the show. Our show is sponsored by and held at a Nissan dealership. Our club has always felt it would be distasteful to have anything other than Nissans in the show. I will add it to the agenda items to consider changing next year.

However, you should still come out. Good people, nice cars, and good food.

Hope to see you there......

This is a pretty complicated issue. Please don't think that we're trying to actively exclude G35 Owners...because we're not. It's just not something our club is capable to deal with just now. But please feel free to come down and visit. I know that many of us would love to see your car (that goes for all G Owners).
